WebAfrica General Feedback

That's just the thing though, I'll find no need for the extra data so by rights I'm paying the same price for 80Gb less data with Web Africa.

Not only that, but the prices he has quoted are for Home Capped, which apparently has a lower priority on the network than Business Capped. It's therefore not a fair comparison with AH because their capped products have top priority on the network, allegedly.

Then the package clearly isn't well suited for you. That doesn't mean that it should change. Some of us know how to schedule our downloads and love the extra data that we get.

WebAfrica are marketing it as a business account, but the ridiculous data breakdown doesn't suit the needs of his business - and indeed most other businesses - so he didn't sign up for it and WebAfrica have lost him as a customer.

Therefore, it either needs to change or WebAfrica need to offer a competitive business account with anytime data ONLY, if they hope to attract clients like him.

EDIT: I signed up for the 600GB (200GB) account because I had lost hope with all the other ISPs, not because I thought WebAfrica's price or 400GB 12 - 6am data was attractive. That's just me, but others might have found the price a little too stiff and will have stuck it out elsewhere.

Well the assumption there is that I don't.
I don't download, I only stream.

I'm not saying this account is perfect for me but the fact is WebAfrica feedback is great which makes me interested.
I loose interest the moment I see I need to buy a large account to get the data I currently use with Vox.

Maybe they should then split it up into two. 8-5 businesses where you don't have any Internet access outside of those times, and the current package for 24h businesses.

No, anytime data should mean anytime. Imagine having to work late and not having internet access?

The anytime data is anytime. They clearly separate it from the midnight-6am data.

Just to illustrate my point, I would like to be able to use between 300-350 GB per month, but in order to do so I would have to purchase a 1.2TB account! That's ridiculous!

What for? What kind of business are you in? How many employees? Maybe ADSL is not the answer but rather uncapped Fibre of WiMax ?

What? So a 1.2TB business capped package is okay, but people start taking issue if I want to use 300GB during the day. I bet that kind of usage is peanuts compared to what some businesses use.

I think I've made my point here, it's just unfortunate that the WebAfrica rep has decided not to be part of the discussion.

Sitting in the same boat here. Looking for a capped data from webafrica. I don't download the internet, I stream 80-90% of the time. Telkom do elite package is priced good, but their shaping or throttling sucks. Afrihost is good, but unreliable as Vox. I use Vox after hours from 6 onwards.

I don't faking need after hours hundred gigs of data.

Please listen to your customers

FU Web Africa, honestly.
I have used 88GB on my 4Mpbs uncapped account and I am shaped. What's better is I am shaped so bad I need to switch to a capped account to get to the page that tells me I am shaped as you have managed to shape me so bad I cannot log into your control panel.

Really?? I pay you R299 and can't come near getting value for my money on per GB pricing.

Please take your stupid cancellation policy, stupid ADSL accounts and stick it up our stupid network before sticking that up your ass.

Wow, I'm sure that they will cry themselves to sleep losing an ass of a customer like you.

It's a free world. If you aren't happy with the product, feel free to move somewhere else.

Have you compared pricing?

Vox 200GBs = R639
Web Africa 200GBs+400GBs = R599

I swear you people can't count.

Home accounts aren't meant for day time downloading. Don't blame the ISP when you bought the wrong account.

Or you could cancel your VOX account which you claim is unreliable and get a bigger Web Africa account?

Clearly, he hasn't tried the alternatives!
