You still don't get it. What is the use for paying so much money when I will "never" use my account after hours. Are you faking dumb or just plain ignorant. Listen to what other people say,instead of forcing your opinion down their throat.

Even with the night data Web Africa is still cheaper.

Has anyone had some strange data usage on their WA capped account?

I have been using my Vox account this weekend and have just been capped on my WA account, it has not been in use though.

Nope, log in on your WA account and make sure that only your port has been using your account. The most likely scenario is that somebody else has your login details and has been using your account.

That's the first thing I did, just my line has been connected.

Make sure that you don't have auto-dial in your internet connections, it could have done it without you knowing.

It's dialed up via PfSense.
I've checked the rules and scheduling and all seems fine.
Checked devices to see whether they were capped or were on a different account and all were on Vox too. So I really am not too sure =/

Download the log from webafrica detailing which port used data and at what time. If that shows that your number used the data, then you probably screwed up or pfsense screwed up.

Its monday again and after the account being fine since thursday its again unable to cope with swtor latency. Getting over 4000ms while 200ms when switching to the mweb account. This is getting tiresome...

FU Web Africa, honestly.
I have used 88GB on my 4Mpbs uncapped account and I am shaped. What's better is I am shaped so bad I need to switch to a capped account to get to the page that tells me I am shaped as you have managed to shape me so bad I cannot log into your control panel.

Really?? I pay you R299 and can't come near getting value for my money on per GB pricing.

Please take your stupid cancellation policy, stupid ADSL accounts and stick it up our stupid network before sticking that up your ass.

Really sorry you feel this way about us and I wish I could change this but if you signed up for a Home uncapped account you should be aware that it has an AUP attached to it. If your daytime (06h00-00h00: Daily) usage is high for the past couple of days your account will be deprioritised.

Here is our Home Uncapped Q&A KB article which will provide you with more info around this. The only way now is to lower your daytime usage and push all downloads for the 12-6am (download plus) period to get you back down to a unaffected star rating. The other alternative is too upgrade your account to a bigger home uncapped package, home capped or business uncapped package which ever one better suits your requirements.

The Home Uncapped accounts do require more management from your side and once you use the free download plus properly you will be able to get the most out of the account.
 
With regards to the way our packages are setup I have passed your guys points and feedback onto our Product team for review.

We setup the packages this way to provide our customers with as much quality data as possible at the lowest possible price. Now we completely understand that people are streaming more content than ever before but there are still a lot of customers who download their content as well so we also need to strike a balance to ensure we can cater for all customers needs and of course still remain competitive.

But we are always listening to our customers and will look into providing a service that you will keep you happy.

Vox 200GBs = R639
Web Africa 200GBs+400GBs = R599

I swear you people can't count.

WebAfrica Business Capped 200GB+400GB = R899

It's stupid comparing Vox with WebAfrica HOME Capped. You should be comparing it with BUSINESS Capped.

The problem is u chap and all u feeling now is the bum burn of being publically humiliated. Put on ur big girl panties and deal with it ;-)

So I am wrong to get a home uncapped account to use at, you guessed it, home for email, streaming, gaming and mobile devices all totaling less then 100GB per month (which is low for a 4Mbps account). Anyone would get slightly annoyed when told that they need to use their account during "download plus" to get value.

Cool story, I have found the right package for my needs, its called capped.
Uncapped has become a joke.

I might be missing that part, I voiced my opinion over a sub par service which doesnt meet the needs of an actual household who has no dependency on late night linux downloads for they media needs.
