To me that`s not constructive feedback.
More like a whingeing,whining spoilt little kid.

Hey guys the other day a restaurant asked me if I wanted some free food. They're testing some new recipes before they put them on the new menu so they said because they are busy testing ingredients, what I get might not reflect the final meal.

I sat down and noticed all the utensils were there. There were knives specifically for cutting fish, smearing butter, cutting thick steaks - fantastic! I sure was in for a treat.

The cook emerged from the kitchen with a big platter, steam being released from the freshly baked bread. I could see steak, potatoes, french fries and lamb shank.

"Oh my god!" I thought. This is sure my lucky day. The cook placed the platter down infront of me and asked me to dig in. And in I digged.

After gnawing off a huge chunk from the steak, I noticed something odd. THIS STEAK TASTED LIKE DOG POOP!

"What the hell, cook? Why does the steak taste like dog poop?" I screamed. "Sir, the food is free and we are still testing the ingredients. If you wanted good tasting food then go to a restaurant where you pay for food."

Just because I'm getting free food doesn't excuse the cook from using dog turds as the main ingredient.



edit: look, no offense to webafrica for giving us this trial. My beef is with all you fanboys trying to blame the bad connectivity on everything but webafrica. Seriously, stop it.

Err... of course I will tell the the food tastes like dog ****. They asked me to help taste test their food. That's not complaining, and I didn't have any preconceived notion that they will produce food that tasted good in the first place. However, if I just sat there and ate the food because it was free without complaining, the restaurant would go ahead producing the food to everyone who would then pay for it. In the end, their reputation would suffer a lot more than if I just said "Eish baas, this tastes ***"

My point?

If it was free without expecting me to test or give feedback, I wouldn't moan. Free is free.

If it was free because they would like my opinion, I would certainly give them my opinion. They asked for it? Why not? It's important to them that I give my honest opinion and experience. So why not? Or should I just be grateful that I'm getting something for nothing?

I don't think so.

of course there is. if there's such thing as a free lunch (from your perspective it's free, since it was just given to you for no compensation), then there's no reason why it can't taste good too.. there's no logical rule that says ALL free lunch tastes bad :P

I definitely would not pay for what they are offering in the trial. I find it almost unusable.
