Weed advice

I've read some really crap advice in this thread. If you love your child, you would want the best for her and won't want her to turn out to be an addict or a pothead. Enough said.

16 is still a child. She's not paying the bills is she?

lol. What does this even mean? How is it a gateway to harder drugs?

Don't you know? Weed is laced with heroin, tick and cocaine. Once a person smokes for the first time they are instantly addicted to the other drugs.

I would not recommend smoking weed while your brain is still developing. Studies do seem to indicate that smoking weed while your brain is still developing can impact how it develops. So much so that is may be possible that that development leads to schizophrenia.

Once your brain is developed it appears a lot more safer, but I would be very careful during those growing years.

Piercings, tattoos and even some drug use are not things that would overly concern me. I'm in favour of delaying regular use of recreational drugs, legal or illegal, but a degree of experimentation with drugs has always been commonplace amongst teenagers. Anyone who believes otherwise is living in a fantasy world. What would concern me is the fact that they're doing these things in secret, assuming the parents have not made this a necessity, and whether they're exercising due caution in their acquisition of the drugs (or where they get their tattoos for that matter). Piercings would only be a problem if the child attends a backward school that is likely to make an issue out of it even if the attendant jewellery is not being worn.

I can say that prohibition and punishment can only backfire.

Some of us are not so stupid that we conflate use and abuse.

That kind of idiotic attitude only encourages greater rebellion and secretiveness.

Not everyone is a casual dealer and if not, they will put you in touch with more serious stuff.
In reality that is unlikely.

Weed is the gateway to hardcore drugs. That's why I'm against teens smoking weeds. They tend to make stupid decisions impulsively.

No it is not, not even slightly.

Just because a person smokes weed occasionally, does not make them an addict or a pothead. And her paying the bills or not is irrelevant.

sure, this can happen, so what you are saying then, make sure that the child uses a good weed dealer, and not some guy that laces his stuff?

I know lots of people that smoke pot and none of them are addicted or potheads. All have good to very good jobs. It sound like you are just believing the propaganda spread by the media.

You must be lying..

Nobody who smokes weed can be a productive member of society...... its just not possible. All they ever do is veg out and get the munchies and then move onto harder drugs... don't you know this?

Weed in moderation is better than any form of alcohol. My dad told me this when I was 15 I should have listened to him. Alcohol is bad compared to weed.

Not true.
