Weigh-less

Oh no i'm not that big... never will be!! Hope so in any case...

And dust makes nasty noises on my teeth:sick:

Oh, ok, in that case I have to agree with Keeper on the copious amounts of monkey s3x as the most suitable method of weight reduction.

I do not suggest cutting out carbs and sugar in all honesty, your body will shut down you will feel depressed and your body worst of all will have no fuel. It is like saying cut out petrol in your car.

Don't eat like a pig and exercise with intent and not because you feel better with the 5 minutes effort you put in. Get in and sweat badly. people will say eating is 80% of losing weight and it is but you still need to put in the other 20% and not rely on good eating habits to lose your weight.

Try the SAUNA BELT. The ad on TV looked promising, the chick using one looked really fit!

Yeah, just sit infront of the TV with that thing on - you don't even have to break a sweat!

The only permanent solution is to change you eating habits, Mila.

If weighless or weight watchers does not bring about a PERMANENT change in what/how/when you eat, you will go back to the original weight if you stop following their programme.

Lol, no.

I lost 7 kilos this Dec hollidays. No I am not loosing nor gaining. I am sure if I dieet to loose another 8-12kgs I will not pack it back on unless I start pigging out.

Weight Watchers teaches you healthy eating habits. There is such a lot of "free food" also. You get 1 book every week for 12 weeks, which contain lots of recipes to choose from. I would like to become a WW instructor once I have reached my goal weight.

So Jewelbox, can you maybe give a bit more info about weight watchers? I asked a few above.

It sounds good, I'm just trying to find out a bit more about it.

Edit: Pfft. They just replied to my email asking for locations around the area where I live - all the meetings are at 17:00, or between 8:30 and 12:30. Is it only women who don't work who need to lose weight?

I don't suppose there's any way to follow their program without going to meetings? I'm not that worried about the motivational side, anyway, but I guess that (a) they'd need to evaluate you to figure out how many points you're allowed, and (b) they won't sell their system because they want to make money :) ?

Personally I find all these "meeting" / "weigh-in" type programs too gimmicky.
Sure they have their merits but IMO give the dieter a false sense of the real nutritional changes they need to make in their lives for long-term success. They also place very little emphasis on exercise, which to me is an essential part of long-term weight control

The other thing I wonder is if the programs themselves don't in fact perpetuate more of an obsession with food

I reckon very few people on these diets actually manage to succeed in keeping the weight they lose off for more than 5 years. Wonder if there are any studies out there on this.

I was on sure-slim for 2 month and lost 20 kgs, it wasnt very difficult, although the meals did bore the life out of me. Sadly though, keeping it off has been the most difficult part and one of these days I am going to have to start all over again.

So i joined.
I'll keep you guys up to date off how i find this. Also how BF finds it. For the boys.
I can tell you now following their recipes it is expensive. But I hope when i get the hang of this i'll be able to cook with out using the weigh-less lable things.

Hope it works out.

If not give weight watchers a try. I lost 6kgs in the 12 weeks I did it and the last 4 weeks I didn't bother to count points, just kinda ate things in moderation, and still had a chocolate and went out for meals. I think it helps that I pack my own lunch for work now. Cafetaria food makes you fat, even if it looks healthy.

It makes you more aware of foods that are healthy choices to make :) meetings are a waste of time tho, not very motivating, but I suppose having someone weigh you every week helps you out :)

Lol Cath! :D

There are loads of Weigh Less ladies who work. The meetings aren't only in residential areas, but also in corporate offices too. You can apply to start a group at your office or join an existing one close to where you work. Those 12.30 meetings are perfect for working people, as they're during most company's lunch hour.

I've been looking through their site since reading this thread & its got loads of useful info & recipes for free. I prefer going solo on this, but like others I've seen that Weigh Less works on people who stick with it.

I wanted to do weight watchers but BF wanted Weigh less. So he won.:(

What i do not like is the group leader is fat:confused: should you not be an example or a motivation??? But BF has a friend who lost 18 kgs so we will try it.

And they calculated what i should weigh and not what i want to weigh. And that is what i'm now to where i want to go? So why did i join if according to them i'm perfectly fine? But this they tell you after you paid.
But i'll stick it ouf for BF he did get a bit porky the last year:D

Did weight watchers have a detox week the first week? That pissed me off even more because i know detoxing is a BS story.

Now i'm stuck with 3 meal examples( for each meal) 7 days to eat and the thing that is the most on the menu for the next week is chick peas:(

Nope no detoxing. You get a certain number of points according to your weight, and if you use that many points a day, you lose weight.

My leader was also fat... I don't think you have to be skinny to be one, which is wrong.

I mean you need to motivate the people...

I think my headache made me a bit too negative:( I have stuck to it today so when the headache lifts i'll feel better about it.

I think you should be skinny in order to work for Weight Less.

They sell an ideal and the employee should be the personification of that ideal.
