Weight Loss/ Gain thread Dec 2014 - 2015

Bodybuilders understand a ****load more about nutrition than desk jockeys, and they have decades of proven results behind them.

Noakes is a ****ing flip-flopping shill. If pubmed released a hundred research papers today saying that a 100% protein diet was the key to optimal health, guess who would be selling a book called "The POWER of PROTEIN" next week.
And you were asking yourself what caused him to change his mind before he even changed it. Does the power of low-carb eating include ESP?

Thor is right, low-carbers are just sheep, self-righteous and very indignant sheep who love the idea of stuffing balls of butter covered in bacon down their gullets. "BAAA we have science! SCIENCE!" Bollocks. You've barely got a couple of years of research. THERE IS NO LONG TERM SCIENCE AS YET. You people are the experiment. Good luck.

BEEFCAKE!!! BEEFCAAAAAAAKE!!!!

At least I'm a healthy and lean sheep....

Opinions are like piles, every 2nd ******* has one.

You come in here preaching to people and judge them based on the fact that they are making a positive change in their lives. So why don't you run along and let them be. Let them follow Tim Noakes like sheep. Let them become healthier.

Really? You might want to get your memory checked, because earlier this week you were saying:

I have to say. Gaining lean muscle mass is a lot more work and discipline than losing some belly fat.

At times I know I am dirty bulking just because I can't actually remember how many calories I have consumed during the day. Then I just pig out in the evening after a workout to make sure I am in a surplus. Certainly Explains the fat I have gained along with muscles mass.

You said you've gained 10kg. Lean sheep? No, more like deluded piggy. You're probably thinking that you've gained 10kg - ~8k muscle, ~2k fat. Reality is far more likely the other way round. See a little lump of muscle under a nice blanket of fat makes for a big lump on the outside. Think of a small stone under a blanket and how it appears outwardly. Then when you start the cut, you lose a bit of blubber and soon hit the paranoia - you think you're losing all that precious hard-earned muscle. Except you aren't, because the amount of muscle you think you've gained is fantasy. Because only in fantasyland can you eat twice the calories you need and 90% of it magically turns into muscle tissue.
Nonetheless, like most desk jockey gymrats you decide you don't want to be one of those shredded skinny little ****s, you'd rather be bulky anyway. Right? Sure.
But I wish you good luck trimming down to 12%. (12%? No way that's a cop-out, I mean what sense would it make to go all the way to visible abs - no, rather just walk up the door and then decide that's far enough)

I'm up 10kg again but that is part of my current goals. Gained plenty of muscle mass and of course a bit of fat too. But serious cutting starts in 2 months time again. My goal is 95kg with 12% body fat.

BTW if you gained 10kg of muscle mass your lifts must have surely gone up by at least 50% in the same time? Have they?

Who said I gained 10kg muscle mass?

And yes my lifts have gone up considerably in the last 3 months.

Because he is hard headed and unwilling to enter a mutually beneficial debate, but rather charges in with blind faith that his knowledge is correct and everyone else is merely ignorant :D

Sounds like a certain person in the sporting forums....

I also only started taking weightlifting seriously when I started keto. It's been amazing. Took off for the holiday, and am currently under the weather but can't wait to get back.

You have no point of reference then if you've only lifted while keto?

Anyway, I currently weigh 88kg. I'm 1.86m tall, so my BMI is 25.4.

What I really want to do is cut my body fat percentage to less than 15%, and build muscle. I'm actually not too concerned if my weight drops or increases, as long as I look better in the mirror.

But, for the sake of a goal, let us say that I want to weigh 80kg by the end of the year.

^Randhir such a nice guy :D

We're getting healthier and losing fat while eating some amazing food. Why be nasty? :)

Anyway, I understand where he's coming from. He's passionate about the subject and I think he and Thor are/were trying to impart knowledge that (from their understanding) would help people. They've obviously gone about it the wrong way, but I get what the intention is. It's like Jehovah's Witnesses. They don't want to go door to door, but they also don't want you to go to hell.

Come back is two words Mr Erudite. You can get some of mine out your wife's bunghole if you like?

Just one word, beefcake. And I'm sure you're wrong about the 2nd part since your sister told me the roids made you totally impotent... But it's ok, we still respect ... wait wtf am I saying?
