Isn't that a bit much? Or is it the "going rate"

(Not criticizing, but we all know we have been told no more than 500g a week is the way to go )

A lot of that weight is water weight, with LCHF he will lose a lot in the beginning because of his current weight, it will taper off though.

It probably is a lot. But remember, I'm REALLY FAT!! Most if it just water weight.

Also, it's not like I can tell my body to "lose weight slower please" :D

At the outset of LCHF, when you have a lot to lose, this happens.
To be frank, a lot of it is actually water (you deplete your glycogen stores, and glycogen contains a lot of water)

My apologies for posting my pics of before and after on the Noakes diet. I really didnt think it would upset so many people. I read the book, made my own decision to start this way of lifestyle, and it has worked wonders for me, not just externally, but internally too. I have had my medicals at work, and in comparison to my latest, i am far healthier than when i joined the company 6 years ago. Those that are starting / on LCHF, congrats from my part. I did it, and so can you. I personally feel i need to lose another 3kg's, and then i believe i can maintain my weight on LCHF. It's not a diet to me, but a change in lifestyle. Whether you agree or disagree with the LCHF route, that is your opinion, and only those that are fanatical believers of alternatives will have a problem with LCHF, especially after seeing first hand my before and after pics. Therfore, i again apologise for unsettling those fanatics. As mentioned in above posts, can we please get back to the advice, and progress details of this thread, as its meant to be?

I think his scale might be broken...but I don't want to brake his positive spirit right now....I like the fscker

Water loss is initially higher at first, but that does not mean you are not losing anything else. This will stabilise quickly. Don't forget to replenish it though.

When on LCHF, try marginalise the "general rules". This is a "Revolution" in terms of eating, so old guidelines need to be set aside and let your body do what it is supposed to.

Hey Guys,

I am tired of Bacon and eggs for breakfast :(

Idea's on breakfast alternatives?

Have you tried the BPC (Bullet Proof Coffee)? I can't handle raw egg Yolk, so i do 2 or 3 egg whites, a heaped table spoon of Coconut oil, table spoon butter, 2x coffee, milk and blits. Then add hot water. It tastes fine, quite creamy, and for me that is enought to sustain me most of the day.

Depends on how much time you have and whether you don't mind preparing stuff before. My breakfast will be broccoli soup and smoked Wiltshire pork sausage. And coffee.

You could also go for BPC.

Bugger you :D

I've weighed every morning. Keeping a spreadsheet as well, bastard guy. All on the same scale. So if it's wrong... it's wrong... but if you've met me before, you know that 131 was a accurate starting point :D

Yep, the only thing I drink at the moment is water. Nothing else.

We're both going camping this weekend, and we know what that means.

I just have to warn you now:
As a big guy, you're probably used to chugging down dop and taking ages to get drunk. This superhuman tolerance for alcohol is greatly reduced when on a ketogenic diet. So plan accordingly.

And my god. The hangover.

It's probably accurate, but don't bother weighing yourself every day. Try every week.

I mix it up even though eggs always involved.
What works for me is to add raw veggies with....tomato, peppers, mushrooms (fried or raw). I'll even eat raw cauliflower (that's just because I love it).

Rotate your bacon with boerewors, pork/beef sausage. Sometimes I skip the meat and make a nice cheese and tomato omelette

Interesting guess I could give it a shot.
