Weight loss

If anyone needs some inspiration to go on a keto diet, here is a before and after pic of a couple who went on keto for 6 months. I think it was something like 90 pounds drop for him and 60 for her:

Wow! Look how much younger they look too. I've been looking at the pics on the reddit forum and most of the people who just have a bit of weight to lose are lifting. Looks like I'm going to have to start exercising again because no weight loss on the scale at all this week. Found a lot of info on plateaus and water retention too so motivation is still strong.

Just tell the pharmacy to order some.

"Roche Accu-Chek Keto-Diabur Test Strips"

or you can buy online here

Why would you need strips?
You drop the carbs and sugars and you in keto?
Worse case scenario you take the time and fill in DJ's food chart.

Not that simple, protein also has a role to play, get your ratios wrong and no keto, also as mentioned before everyone's physiology is unique so for some it's easier than others

So according to your science, say you get the ratios wrong, and drop the carbs and sugars, and up the fats a bit but not at the right ratio and dont get into keto state, then what? Will you lose or gain weight in this situation? If I get the principle, you should still lose weight, it would be then similar to the paleo lifestyle?

yesterday 68kg, today 70, I can no longer accurately assess with a scale - I am moving to a tape measure :P and eventually buying a better bloody scale -

I am looking decent in the mirror though :D

You will most probably lose weight, but the point of being maintaining ketosis is that it's an optimum level of weight-loss.

Yes you'll still lose fat because you're controlling your insulin output

How do you not blow away on windy days?

By not living in a place that was cr@ppy winds :p

He ties himself to a normal sized human being. It's a quid pro quo...

SO is a bit bigger than normal size... that's why I currently have him on a keto diet :D

It has been 3 weeks and he is off his gluconorm so I reckon we are doing something right
