Weight loss

Kind of related to this, but how do I motivate myself to get up early in the mornings?

I've got the luxury of going in to work at 09:30 and as I'm not an early starter this is all too easily abused.

As you can imagine it plays havoc as I only exercise in the evening when I could just as easily do a morning session.

I've got no problems with evening sessions and manage boxing 3 times a week at night.

Any tips to get me up and out of bed to do some exercise in the morning?

a loaf of bread makes me feel full, so i normally buy that. some days i'm too busy to think of food. i also eat 3 packets of noodles at a time

Bloody hell, that's all carbs, no wonder you never feel full, where's your fats and proteins?

Best is to try and find a training buddy who can at least phone you to get you going even if you do the rest by yourself. If they can exercise with you even better.

I'm definitely a morning person but struggle to get into the routine of getting up even earlier. I just have to make the decision and after a few days I'm so used to it I don't even need the alarm to wake me up. Not sure how to get motivated though
Just try not to make excuses

i assume she would as we go to a similar site :p

mwahahahaha it wouldnt be for your abs

OT: What eating plans are you guys following? Perhaps share some recipes? I liked the omelette one from the oldy.

I think there might be something wrong with you.....
I was super hungry all the time like I could kill for food - not lus - HUNGRY! Then I went to the dr and did tests and everything was fine. Went to another dr who told me what to eat and my life hasn't been controlled by food since then. I do still love food and definitely eat more yummies than I should but the extreme hunger is gone as well as most cravings I used to get.

Tip number 1. Stop eating bread

it's the cheapest :(

if it helps i put protein and fats ON the bread first :p

If you don't eat so much it becomes even cheaper :D
I know what you mean though - I'm half student and its not always nice to have to buy expensive healthy food but I find yogurts go a long way and I just try to stick to the cheaper fruits and veggies. It also makes one think twice before buying food you don't need :D

Rice cakes also work for me. And I stock up on tuna when its on special. Anything that's on special really...

I went to see a dietician and it was worth the money spent. My family history is rich with diabetics so I went looking for a dietician that could help me prevent getting diabetes and to reverse my insulin resistance.

For years I followed plans and thought I was doing the right by my food intake but never lost a single kilo.

The visit to the dietician was an education and so very worth it. My goal is to loose 28kg, I've got 16.5kgs to go!

On a side note I hope you guys are reading the labels on the yoghurt you buy, as not all yoghurts are born equal.

I've seen some with 16g of sugar per 100g of product, which is RIDICULOUS!

I've opted for a white yoghurt with 6g of sugar per 100g and will see how that goes (probably going to suck as I love flavored yoghurt and all the sugar that goes with it...)

I don't read labels :D But I try and buy fat free. You can taste its not as creamy or sweet as other yoghurts. I'm not a very big fan of milky things either so the lighter yoghurt goes down a bit better. I also don't eat it everyday.
But yoghurt lasts very long in the fridge and can be an easy, affordable snack.
