Weight loss

You are perpetuating the sterotype by making a nonsense distinction- the latter assumes the diet will "stop"

It's not really the latter's assumption, just yours that the person on diet will go back to eating the same way they did before. Maybe they will, maybe if they've learnt anything in their journey it'd be to re-examine their eating habits and construct a new eating plan of whole foods that meets their energy/lifestyle requirements. It doesn't really make sense for the diet to not "stop" or change in some way, does it?

Thanks for your concern, but my weight doesn't yo-yo at all. It went up slowly, it's come down slowly, and once it's done it'll stay put ;)

So that would mean diet, followed by change in eating habits?

Why not just alter eating habits in the first place and just skip the "diet part" but meh over the debate :D Good luck with weight loss - we're all on our individual journeys.

i need to learn to quit and drink whiskey, because the beer is causing weight issues

Just don't drink anything.
Although you must feel about drink like I feel about choccie
Except choccie is cheaper.
And doesn't make you feel spicy.

Yes ... although I am fighting back the urge to eat two hot cinnamon donuts that are just lying in my office - the pull is so strong

I don't drink or smoke or sleep around :(
Allow me my little pleasures in life :p
