Weight loss

So there was apparently a woman talking on 702 who said that the high protein high fat diet works for weight loss but isn't good for your body in the long run...

yes, because she's a nutritionist

I don't think anyone here is particularly promoting high protein high fat, my view is low carb high fat and sufficient protein

Well health isn't about being thin..... You can be thin but not getting the right nutrition

My sister literally eats bread for breakfast lunch and supper and hardly anything else. Doesn't matter whats on the menu, when she eats at our house my dad always buys bread for her - shes's thin as a twig...

the issue is not what she's like now, but the impact of that as she gets older

Which is why I say thin doesn't equal healthy. And she's basically been eating like that her whole life. Oh and has a lot of cereal... But its all processed stuff, no goodness imo. And I must say she looks a bit like a skelly :D

I used to be the same. But things change as you get older. Now I am sitting with a spare tyre around waist. Albeit a smaller spare tyre these days :D

Well I meant thin compared to obese ;)

Not overly thin

Yay, just need some veg, salad, fibre, or immodium to counter the jippo guts that will give you :P
