Haha, never seen such a quick 180.
Hey, when the science is sound, and I'm wrong, I'm the first to admit it. The epilepsy research into this has been ongoing since the 1920s and is absolutely sound. Weight loss is a confirmed side-effect.
It's an MCT isn't it? I've never used the stuff before. Not to my knowledge at least. I've travelled Malaysia so probably eaten it plenty, but haven't used it in my home cooking...
Definitely one of the first reasons I went into it.. I'm not epileptic, but if the research has been going on this long with no adverse side effects of note being shown thus far, it's worth a try.
I haven't bothered with a scale or anything like that, but the first couple times I tried the diet I shed weight effortlessly. Now I'm on it for a longer period of time and I need new clothes soon/

And if I throw Pascal's Wager into the mix, it might be awesome if I actually suffer from epilepsy without realising it...![]()
One of the most common causes of IBS is complex carbs. Perhaps she might learn something about herself eating piglet and his friends. It would also be terrific if you vegetarians could stop eating my fscking environment...![]()
How far down the rabit hole are you going to go? I'm thinking of replacing my blood sugar monitor with a version that can check for blood ketones. I'm interested in watching urine versus blood levels, and the body's adaption to the diet (excreting less ketones in the urine).
I wouldn't trust a website that doesn't know the difference, mister...![]()
I'm looking at this as less of a diet and more of a lifestyle adjustment. I will miss my bread and pasta, but I'll figure out alternatives...
Who said anything about complex carbs?
And my dislike for meat isn't just for moral reasons (except baby animals - those I object to eating only because they are babies and are cute and cuddly and get taken from their mommies when they still drink milkies). Most meat stinks to me... Especially pork and mutton. Beef makes me feel sick. Biltong is the only beef I'd actually go out and buy. Chicken is ok but it musn't have bones and even then it sometimes tastes like you can taste the earth and poop the chicken was walking in... I like tuna - in water. But not always. And I like most fish that comes in a box with the only skin on it being a skin of crumbsbut thats not good kind of fish... In fact its probably not even real fish

I miss bread at times, but I miss beer over the weekends for the game. And the way we've been playing I really really want that beer
I'll have cheat days occasionally, but they're becoming more rare. I'm going to Harveys this weekend, will relax the diet a tiny bit.

bread and pasta was easy, pizza a little more difficult, I still struggle with giving up beer altogether though so I still have a couple over weekends
Mmmmm... Those are the tastiest.
Yeah, you're fscked...
