Weight loss

I don't think I was misquoting?
I don't think milk is (or should be) a large part of your diet. It's not natural IMHO.

Please tell me where in any of that I said that milk should form a LARGE part of your diet? In actual fact I think it forms a relatively small part of most peoples consumption - hence why I think its extreme to remove it completely

You're newly married. The extra sex should make up for anything :p

DJ must be newly single.

And we all know Drew never gets any.

lol

Extra sex? We lived together for 8 years before we got married, the sex didn't change when we tied the knot ;)

The bank balance did though. Weddings is spensive.

I think people who are taking out milk as a part of their diet are extremists, altering your diet to this extent is not sustainable
There?
Taking out a small part of your diet wouldn't be altering it to an unsustainable extent?

Thats why I added vast - you may be a part of the minority that could sustain a large change to your diet.
And there? Context was around removing milk from the diet...?

Haven't weighed myself and not going to do so now after eating food and drinking 3 litres of water so far today. I have lost fat - I can see it. I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning...

Its cool, no pressure, when you feel ready. I just found I didn't lose on keto style, but probably because I was too scared to really up the fat intake.

I stated removing milk completely is extremist, not that milk should form a large part of a diet.

mkay if you say so :)

Not in the mood for arguing that much. Going to wrestle the bloody pool filter again this afternoon.
Changed the sand yesterday. Holy crap. Unexpectedly hard work... I wore my heart monitor after the first 10 minutes, and earned vitality points!

91kg at the moment. Last time I weighed myself was on an empty stomach and, er, de-robed. This time I've got a lot of clothing on, just ate a hefty meal and have drunk 3 litres of water. So I imagine I've lost about 2kg...

Will wait in anticipation for the morning derobed update.

It takes a minimum of 14 days, sometimes even longer to adjust. I doubt you were even in ketosis.... If you were you would have lost a lot of water weight as you emptied your glycogen stores.

@Drew - You've called the keto diet restrictive a few times, but as you've also said, people are different. I love fatty food, sugar isn't a draw for me at all, so this diet is the least restrictive diet I can ever imagine being on while also being extremely effective.

I use to like milk in my coffee, but now since on this diet cream is better for me, I find no reason not to substitute it. It tastes better AND is healthier? A-OK in my book.

Personally I like some carbs every now and again and I don't feel like being worried that it might kick me out of a ketogenic state, again - this is an individual journey,

I am not telling anyone what to do - merely my opinions on the various ideas

Some carbs in terms of? Bread and stuff like that? I get quite a few carbs from green veg, onions and stuff like that. Even macadamias.

I know, just discussing with you :)
