I have FIbre at home

• I work for a Fibre L2 & L3 Telco
• ADSL restricted to 4Mbs asynchronous - I now have 20Mbs Synchronous
• Cancelled my DSTV subscription completely - now use a streaming provider and yes I get all my rugby at R217/m - only this I miss is Carte Blanche
• Use Afrihost on top of Vumatel Active Ethernet - not GPON !

Telkom ADSL is what we had historically. Very poor. Will probably go for fibre when they are finished in our area.

We have 100/100 fibre uncapped from Cool Ideas

Fibre - 100/50 mb/s (purely for speed and latency), I chose 600GB cap (not available anymore) because of the 6 months roll over (Vox), end up collecting about 4TB of unshaped data due to this. which is better than uncapped as you get throttled usually after 2TB. So if the time comes when I need TB's I've got it. Cost is R1200 p/m.

10MB/5MB Fibre connection which is Uncapped because it is a lot more reliable than ADSL and keeps ping a lot lower. Also we chose to stick to 10/5 as it is still affordable and plenty for what we use it for
