I suppose that got too deep for Dolby. OK, back to talking titties and fast cars!
I've had a go with JK8, Postman, IamPenguin ... can't remember who else actually .
I never took you for a breast man, I thought you were more into VAGs ?
JK8 was the all time best VAG troll. What happened to him?
VW is definitely out cause it can't even meet the basic requirements unless I go for a Golf.
So, Golf 7 GTI then? Or another Bluemotion variant?
...
Required features:
- Engine stop-start feature for robots and traffic

I've been in a few cars with this and I find it irritating.
Bluemotion polo doesn't come in automatic :wtf:

Second hand Civic Exec.
It doesn't have stop/start though. Instead there's an Eco mode. Is stop/start really worth it? How much does it really save you?
So since I've been looking for a car, I've noticed there is a huge disconnect for cars that are in my range. I don't know what to call it, "just above starter range". I've been able to solidify my requirements more. I will update the OP as I go along but from the top of my head this what I can come up with.
Required features:
- Automatic
- Cruise control
- Engine stop-start feature for robots and traffic
- Good media center with navigation or phone mirroring
Engine type:
Would prefer diesel but petrol cars are cheaper, so I might end up with a petrol car
If a second hand car, the car will still need 3 years service plan. So in general I'll be looking at cars that come from 2014 (this in terms of what I've seen in of average service plans).
Cost wise, after doing my budget I would really like to pay R6000 max a month including insurance. I could go for a car around R300000. I'll use my current as a trade in.

New Meganes? Not sure if they have Start-Stop though. Know the clios do.

And with the added initial outlay and extra maintenance costs factored in how much is the nett savings to the owner? Most tests indicate you can save up to 8-10% on petrol
