What car to get?

I am waiting for Brendan_E rather

Did you manage to get yours btw? If I remember you were looking at one.
I was only looking for one at the end of next year. I'm super excited for it though. I just hope I get a colour besides white because white doesn't do the car's good looks justice. Even silver would be better.

The prices have dropped fairly decent lately hey.

I still think the "Standard" model is too bare; the "High" model is one def worth paying the extra $$$ for to get those add-ons.

Yeah but I wonder what difference to my insurance premium it'd make. Although I suppose it only adds value to the car and no extra performance.

Has it really dropped though? I've been watching Cars and Auto Trader and now the prices seem higher than ever before. When I was first told about the 86 there were at least a few card that were below 200k (like 180k+) but now it seems like there's nothing less than 210k. Although I didn't take note of the year and mileage of those cars so it could just be an issue of there but being that big of a supply of them at the moment.

I personally think it's just an issue of supply; & to an extent demand; at present.

I think early Q1 some relatively good savings can be found.

My 2c of course...

Maybe I'm petty but the one interior turnoff for me is the "Hilux Radio" of the early models.

The ones without the touchscreen that is...& the base Standard model has the Corolla ventilation controls...

Are you guys crazy. Looks aside the Cactus has rave reviews. It's "cool" vehicle. With clever thinking (Air bumps; passenger airbag that falls from the roof)

The engine is torquey & efficient; very well spec & price is keen.

It's a great contender.

Looks-aside of course

I'm going to be honest here but I sorta like the look of it. But I'd need to get it in the red.

Hmmm but it only has a 1.3l engine? And it looks like it has quite a bit of space to cram people and luggage in.

In 2016. I'm sure you know displacement means nothing.

It's 1.2 turbo 3-cylinder. Read the reviews it's a great motor from the PSA Group.

Space should be fine. Main issue is back window pop out; don't move/roll down....that's a biggie for some rear passengers.

Yeah. I'm a fan of those Ford ecoboost engines. I saw a video a while ago of a 1l ecoboost fiesta beating a 1.6l standard in a drag race.

Ford say their ecoboost engines can last 'up to' 250k km. Highly strung engines they are.

I like the looks :D and the car...

Drove behind/next to one a few days ago, design isn't very coherent, it's one of those amazing from some angles cars, other angles looks like the Brakpan chommies got hold of it and the budget was use whatever bits can be found in the yard.
