What do FNB and Microsoft have in common?

I for one would like to thank Graeme Pyle for investigating and posting the video.

Due to him, my internet banking is a much more enjoyable experience!

The site is so MUCH faster.

For the guys saying that the progress bar does not make a difference, I hope you do bank with FNB so you can go and try it out now...

use it daily, seems the same to me....
To be honest, I cant recall seeing that bar hit 100% ever. It does its little animation but once the page is ready it is served.

Disable your net, say helo to the progress bar...
Enable your net and retry and the bar is gone, page is served instantly.

Bar has been placed there to stop stupid people from refreshing mid payment on slow internet. Can someone who knows what they are talking about please confirm why you only see the javascript when your internet is off?

Not sure why i am even on the 2nd page of comments. Leave the damn bars alone. The UX works well even for the tech savy..good for you, you know what F12 in Chrome does!
 
They should replace the progress bar with a counter that ticks up each second; 5c, 10c, 15c which is then credited to you account ... then NOBODY would complain if it was taking a long time to load.
 
I don't get the progress bar in my online banking section. Only in the general site information section. I guess my numbers are too small to need a loading bar for.
 
And in overdraft, the bar is a regress bar.

Seriously though, what progress bar? I am probably just not noticing it.

Well after spamming all the tabs on my online banking site, I see non of the progress bar shown in the video. I only see a small "Loading..." with a smaller progress bar in the top left hand corner that has no percentages on it.

The only time I see the one mentioned in the video is when I click to FNB's home page but even then it gets to 10% and disappears.
