What does Cell C do well, and where can it improve?

Move away from talk time and sms bundles and pilot data only products......We are a future GENERATION!!

The Cell C network positively sucks in small towns and rural areas, where they piggyback on other carriers. Mobile data is nonexistent. They should realise that many of the affluent users that they obviously target travel on our vast network of roads, and upgrade their network accordingly.

CellC, go back to your old account/invoice/itemised billing system, infoslips doesn't work

Good day Goobie,

I will be the point of contact for InfoSlips on the MyBroadband forum :)

You seem to be experiencing an issue with the viewing of the new statements. Could you please give me a bit more information regarding your issue?

Sure, in the email received from Cell C there are 2 options for viewing your infoslip; 1) install the viewer or 2) view online. Viewing online requires a password. So I installed the app from the play store and tried to register for a new infoslips account by entering my email address as requested which then fails with the error "Sign up failed, we could find any infoslips for your email address...."

Cell C is doing a good job with the R1000 for 100GB prepaid data offering. I currently think R10 per GB is a fair price for prepaid data and it's OK for to have to buy 100 gigs to achieve that rate. That is my rationale at least and what currently works for me.

Thank you very much for the response!

The password required will be asked regardless if you are using the desktop or mobile application. I will send you a PM in regards to the Password to open the statement.

With the sign up process: We are in the process of launching a brand new mobile viewer which will allow you to register to view these statements in bulk. Meaning all of your statements will be in one place for your convenient viewing.

If you have any issues at all, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected] or give us a shout at 08600 18270.

They Do well at taking your money and providing a unacceptable service, The two years with them was the worst cell phone service i have ever had. Will never recommend anyone moving over to them, especially in smaller towns and remote areas because you wont have cell service if you need it.

It's a phone company. When I leave it will be because of the degree of spam they send me. Every single day, they message me with some offer or not. When I leave, it will be 100% because of that.

I don't care about the rest.

It's a phone.

Nice stores. Bright and Cheerful. Cell C could do with a store in Fish Hoek main road also LTE to capture market.

Would love cheaper data
Website should have clearer representation of contracts available with what they encompass.
Maybe split into groups where one uses more airtime or more data - or better still option to choose how much of each you want.
So the ability to mix and match e.g. x mins airtime with x mb data.

What they do well - there data is reasonably priced, connectivity is always stable, they don't have too many meaningless frills which look like bargains but aren't and their call charges are the most reasonable. I also like their freebies, ie they always give back when recharging on prepaid.

What they do badly - their call centre staff knowledge can improve. They also have this quircky thing with regards to airtime advances. If for some reason you haven't actually recharged your account with money in a month, i.e. my husband very often sends me airtime when I have run out and vice versa, then your privileges fall away. Doesn't really make sense.

Stop overcharging curent clients

Cellc need to stop billing people for what they justify flimsily as contractual blue print when people take contracts with them. When the contract is R250 don't claim R600 and want to justify it technically as this equals daylight robbery further
tarnishing its notorious image. Remember the Sandton billboard !!!

What they do well : They actually call center actually answer calls ,unlike telkom.

What they do badly : Prepaid data to expensive ,will using fnb for data from now on.

Improve coverage and need some competitive packages vis-a-vis Telkom. Cell C is seen as NOT MTN or Vodacom so they really need to compete with telkom on pricing.

cellc has been super awesome and improving its products & services. but one thing I'd ask them to improve is full 3G & LTE coverage all over SA without us having to roam because its very heavy on data charges.
