I'm setting up soon so will give you a low down
but here is what i learnt just from reading threads on mYBB:
Both netflix and Uno telly (you need uno telly to fool netflix into thinking you are in the states or UK etc) have a free trial period of a few days (8 I think)
You can have unlimited devices connected to one account with 4 profiles (Like say 1 for you, one for the wife and 1 for each of the kids etc) but you can only watch 2 streams at the same time on the basic account $3 extra for 4 streams (I think thats right)
YOu can stream Via wifi but as with anything distance and strength of signal can affect quality - so where possible ethernet cable is recommended
1 or 2Mb ADSL is minimum for SD quality (Hi def maybe on 2Mb) 4Mb plus for Hi def

Great, would like to hear your experience.
I thought ethernet would be the way to go.

I already have existing TV cables linked to all rooms in my house. Can I setup main TV with Netflix etc, and somehow stream off content to other TVs via these cables? Some kind of Ethernet adapter?

Umm not exactly its not the same way as DSTV or normal tv.
each TV needs a device that can connects to the net and have netflix app there are TV's or Blu ray players that have it built in - a lot of googling involved in this or connect a PC or compatible media player to the TV (im doing this) Xbox 360 / One, Wii / Wii U and Ps3 and Ps4 also work with Netflix.
Mobile devices like android and Psp or Nintendo DS work as well.
With regard to getting the netflix all over the house - if wifi buffers too much and you can't lay ethernet cables (I'm pretty sure you cant use the TV rf cables) consider getting Ethernet over Powerline adaptors - this transmits through the plugs in your house

I wouldnt mind seeing a full working DEMO first.
I'm sure I could figure out the NETFLIX side of things if I have to. I'm not sure what hardware I would need - I need TV in 4 rooms - would this all be via WIFI - how effective would this be and what minimum speed ADSL would I need etc - these are things I'm not sure of.

Netflix has a 30 day trial, Unotelly has a 7 day trial. You still need to enter credit card details though to activate the account.

You need about 1.5megs per stream you want to view. $8 gets you the 2 simultaneous stream package, while the $12 package gets you 4 simultaneous streams.

You can install the Netflix app on your TV if it's smart or get something like the WD TV Live.

Thanks, I have a clearer picture now.
I have a LG Smart TV in my lounge which will run Netflix no problem, its my other TVs that will pose a problem - I'd have to get a WD TV Live per TV if I'm not mistaken, which in itself isnt really a problem, but ideally I'd need to get ethernet to each of them.

Yup. I just ran three ethernet lines in the roof to each room that has a TV.

Bricked my WD TV live with firmware update, so have to now rollback and then upgrade again.

Set my Samsung Smart TV to US region and it installed netflix and hulu+ etc.

Buddy signed up for netflix trial last night and streamed a movie and series no issues on 6mb line though.

I fiddled around with samsung interface but its clunky as hell and slow.

If you can fix it then you didn't brick it.

OK, tried Virginia dns as well but nothing

I get an error..

Troubleshooting Step 2: OpenDNS Test

Some internet service providers (ISPs) use transparent proxies and filtering systems that interfere with UnoDNS and other alternate-DNS providers. The following test will let you know if your network is compatible with UnoDNS.

Step - 1:
Click on the link below and follow the step-by-step set up:
https://store.opendns.com/setup/
Or manually enter these DNS to your Network settings:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Step - 2:
After completing the setup, click on the link below check if you see the "Welcome to OpenDNS!" message:
http://welcome.opendns.com
If you do not see “Welcome to OpenDNS!” Your ISP/Network setup will not support alternate-DNS services.

Note: For certain ISPs (e.g. StarHub, Singapore) they allow OpenDNS bypass, so you will see the "Welcome to OpenDNS!" message despite their transparent proxies.

Here are some suggestions to get around it:
Call up your ISP and check if they are using a transparent proxy or filtering services. If that's the case, ask if they can turn it off to get UnoTelly working.
If your ISP has a transparent proxy to interfere with UnoDNS, then you can only access geo-restricted websites with our UnoVPN services. Check out: What is UnoVPN? to get around these limitations!

Internet solutions - Works adsl

so to confirm I must use a DNS server in the US?

did those tests on works adsl line and it gave me problems, tried via wifi sync using iPads 3G and it gave the OK.
So work has it blocked.

So got netflix working on macbook connected via wireless to iPads 3G.
Using same DNS server as what works on my macbook, entered into WD TV which is also connected to iPads 3G.

But doesn't work on WD TV.

not sure if it made a difference but in Uno telly under authorised networks, there is a section about WD TV try selecting there
