I have a gf that I love very much. I went out last night with a friend, had a few too many. A girl approached me and we started chatting. One thing led to another, and we kissed. Not made out or anything. Just kissed. Some of my friends that I've described it to said it doesn't even really count, but in my eyes it was a kiss :(

I really love my girlfriend. This whole thing really snuck up on me. I don't know what to do :( I don't want to lose her.

I know what I did was wrong, but I honestly had no intention of it happening. I'm broken :(

Help please?

I wouldn't tell her - from experience. It may make you feel better but it won't be worth the repercussions..

You can either beat yourself up about it or learn from the mistake and move on.

What the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve. It may sound deceitful - but everyone's allowed a secret moment of stupidity.

It's definitely among the stupidest things I've ever done (or let happen).

It might sound cliche, but I really didn't plan for it.

Even though I hadn't intended to get physical, the attraction was obviously there. I feel like I'd have cheated even without the kiss.

Is "emotional cheating" of this kind just as bad?

It's really been tearing me up inside. If I don't tell her, what can I do to get over it?

If I tell her and simply accept the consequences, will I really have done right by her?

Don't tell her. In relative terms it's a small transgression which will result in a huge fight. You know you were intoxicated...in future stay sober and you won't be so easily seduced. Promise yourself you won;t compromise your relationship and forgive yourself...move on. If you tell your GF it'll be a massive step backwards. She'll not trust you and you're going to be apologising forever.

What lead up to the kiss? Was it general chit-chat ? There was obviously flirting... What was this flirting like? Very "out-there" touchy-feely type stuff?

Are you sure your gf isn't reading this ? :D

lol, have the same problem, i dont even have a girl, i kissed one yesterday evening but damn, i shouldn't have done that...

and she will hold it against you for the rest of her life if you tell her. Now lets hope your so called friends dont tell her.

Crap, hadn't thought of that... Not that I've decided to keep it secret or anything, but if it comes from someone else, it'll be that much worse.

General chit-chat. She kept going on about how crap it was that the music kept going back and forth between sokkie treffers and heavy stuff. I was agreeing with her.

I really hope not

yes!! what you could do is pack you stuff, sell the house, sell the car and move :D change email adres and kill everyone that saw you doing it :D

This is probably the best advice anyone's given so far. Where were you 2 nights ago :(

How can I go about forgiving myself?

Yes, that's exactly the solution I was looking for. All the others I thought of seemed like I was over-reacting.

So far, 1 vote for "tell her", 3 votes for "don't tell her" and 1 unclear vote (marine1: were you agreeing with him or being sarcastic?).

Any women on the forum ?
