There are definitely E272's around. Maybe phone a few Vodashops and see what they say.
I also found that the male end of the cradle was not long enough to penetrate the E-272 female end - put it this way.....the cradle's manhood is not well endowed, it only just enters the orrifice.
Having said that...I had a robbery on my double cab at a Durban mall this past monday afternoon 9/2/2009, and my E-272, which was in a bag on the back seat was stolen. So if anyone in the Durban area gets a shifty looking guy trying to sell them an E-272....it's mine. I am not worried about the cost - I just want another E-272, but it looks like none are available. Mine was just 2 months old when it was stolen.
I thought she left?E272 - Debbie does 3G

IMO don't renew, buy your new modem outright [cash] if possible, and use PPDBs instead.Hi,
I am going to be renewing my contract soon. I would appreciate if someone can steer me in the right direction as to the best modem. There are some things I am particular about which include:
1 - Highly mobile
2 - Must make use of all the newest technical thingamajigs
3 - Must be easy one the eye
Thanks in advance guys!

PPDB's ? is that a larny acronym for pay-as-you-go ?
Yep, TopUp Data contracts are worth considering since they are very closely related to PPDBsPPDB = PrePaid Data Bundle
Top Up contracts might also be worth looking at. I got one in December for data only. For the price of a 1GB data bundle you can get the modem thrown in as well, whereas with a straight up data contract you have to pay extra for a "free" modem.
