Alright so i'm rather curious as to why men are no longer the hunters? Why am i asking this you wonder?

Example to follow:

Single friends and myself went out on a ladies night tonight and i can now see why single women complain about being single. We started out at Cofi (not a single man in sight, we tried QBa and the place was dead. We eventually landed up @ FTV. Okay great lots of single men! Yet not a single man approached my single friends and struck up a conversation. Do men just no longer do this or what?

I remember when i was single, men were the first ones to initiate a conversation. Nowadays the latter seems true. It seems women have to throw themselves at men if they want attention. What has happened to the world where the roles have so dramatically reversed?

They must thank heavens I was not nearby!

It's called liberation and you(or some of you) wanted it. And I thank god for it, though I still don't see it happen nearly enough.

I don't even TRY and strike up a conversation with an unkown chick at a bar.

If I don't know you at a bar ... it will stay that way.

we've realised ****ing fulfills most of our needs
and it is quieter.
and doesnt need new shoes twice a month
and ****ing doesnt get jealous if you use your other hand

Actually one of my friends did try to strike up a conversation with a guy by asking him what he was drinking and he answered and then turned around and carried on with his conversation.

Well how do you ever expect to meet anyone if nobody is willing to put themselves out there?

Quality men don't pick up a girl at a bar.

Why?

You are single are you not? So if you saw a lady who you found attractive at a bar you would simply just not approach her?

Fear of rejection?

Or of being humiliated in public?

This is so untrue though. I observed so many women tonight sitting around just waiting to be noticed or talked to and the men just sat in little groups and conversed.

I just wonder how anyone meets someone these days.

It was bound to happen eventually. IMO women have themselves to blame for the current lack of interest - years of rejecting genuinely nice guys has come back to bite. I guess that guys got sick of being rejected and figure they'd just be wasting their time by approaching on a night out, so they now take it for what it is - a night out with their buddies.

Let's assume that that's not the case - how are they supposed to smell if a girl is single or taken if it's a girls night out?

Never been to FTV, so have no idea what its about..

I go out at night to pubs/bars.. to drink, with my friends.. not to try and pick up some random dodgy chick...
