What is wrong with men these days?

It was bound to happen eventually. IMO women have themselves to blame for the current lack of interest - years of rejecting genuinely nice guys has come back to bite. I guess that guys got sick of being rejected and figure they'd just be wasting their time by approaching on a night out, so they now take it for what it is - a night out with their buddies.

Let's assume that that's not the case - how are they supposed to smell if a girl is single or taken if it's a girls night out?

So true!

Never been to FTV, so have no idea what its about..

I go out at night to pubs/bars.. to drink, with my friends.. not to try and pick up some random dodgy chick...

Understandable but not every girl is a random dodgy chick. My single friends are really nice honest moral girls who just want to find that someone they can love and care for. Yet they seem at a loss as to how to go about doing this.

At FTV there may genuinely be a large amount of gay guys. Cofi, have HOT waitressess. They're both a bit snobby tho. You're in Pretoria arent' you?

Through friends, when at company events (where NON company ppl attend).. etc...

Basically in more civilised places than bars....

Years of rejecting guys yet men don't reject women? Please that's just a cop out.

What are you talking about? In what way do you mean that men reject women? I'm talking about the initial approach - women rarely approach guys in order to be rejected.

You wanted an answer, you got an answer - but because you don't like the answer you become defensive about it :)

Chat rooms seem to be catching on as a meeting place?

Some of my friends have tried this chat room scenario as well as dating sites and have met some really strange unsavoury characters who go out with girl A and then meet up with girl B and then followed by Girl C. It's all rather alarming.

asking a serious question....
a few women in a group appear as hunters to a single man. he knows that together, you are a formidable opponent.
be honest...mr normal walks up and somehow gets the courage to chat to one of you..what do the rest do? listen in and chirp? does the girl he is chatting to think "oh god, what a loser, on his own at the pub..looking for a lay?"
he doesnt have keys to a porsche, and doesnt have a particularly good job..he is also just looking around.

i can promise you..he wouldve been blown off and rejected. so he has taken a shortcut to that rejection, but saved the pain, by sitting alone and nursing his beer instead.

dont blame him. the blame lies closer to home i fear.
i've been there, many times.

tell me...did your friends see any guys they might have liked? did they approach them, or make it known? you can shout rape easily, or any number of things which could land us in [email protected] you dont make your intentions clear, then no single bloke will approach.
the flipside is, you may come across as a bunch of slags. that is the gamble you take.

feel our pain, for centuries guys have been branded as "only wanting one thing", when we actually fell into the above category, of just trying to make our intentions clear.

where do you meet guys?
spontaneously..
