What is wrong with men these days?

I don't find anything wrong with it, hell, if he waited until marriage, that's cool too ........ the 'issue' is the part about people that do have sex too soon (in his within-9-months view) not being the long term type.

I think he was basing this on his own experience though. To him he wouldn't consider it long-term. I don't think he was speaking for everyone.

Sorry Serqet, all my mates are in the 20 - 25 demographic. You'll unfortunately have to look elsewhere :D

Haha damn tco21 you were my last hope for my friends to find long lasting happiness. What to do, what to do!!!!

@Alan: i would be scared to unleash some of these men on my friends. :p

Actually i think there are situations in life where if a man lends a helping hand it's not considered sexist. Letting a woman walk through the door before you for example is just the gentlemanly thing to do. So is asking a woman if she needs help carrying something that's really heavy. Women wouldn't find that offensive. It's chivalrous. Sexist behaviour would be treating a woman as though she was inferior or stupid merely because she was born female.

Serqet, look, listen & take heed. This is really funny, can't find a link to the full version though.

It might be chivalrous to you but there are actually woman out there that would find it sexist. The bottom line is I'm still treating you different purely based on your sex whether the intentions are good or bad.

Don't worry though, I'll still open the door for you as long as you bring me a beer :D

Oh, and just while I'm at it, why the hell are women almost stereotypically against dating younger guys? Barring of course those that have issues - because they mostly do.

You get older men that date 20 something year old girls, but it's unusually to find a (normal, sane, attractive) 28-33 year old that would date an early twenties guy. Why is this?

\Awaits the stereotypical drivel about how emotionally immature guys of this age are...

guys peak between 27-33/35, women 23?-28/33 (obviously in both cases pending things like gym etc) point is it doesn't always work. You do find older women like 30+ dating younger guys but usually in the above range

I think to a large degree most younger men just aren't in the same place in their lives that a woman who is over 25 is.

Do 23 year old guys really wanna settle down and start having kids? Are they already financiallly secure to handle a family? Not really. Some are but majority aren't so for this reason i think women generally just overlook this bracket as it's going to be a lot more difficult to find someone in this age range that wants the same things.

Could it be that the guys at the place you were at were picking up that you wanted a mate to settle down with and not just a good time :D

So what have your girlfriends been doing for the last 5-10 years that they haven't settled down?

Also relationships between older women and younger men can work. The women just need to accept that they have started late and adjust their 10 year plan accordingly. First kid at 35 and not 30, etc.

From a nihilist's point of view, so is everything. lol.

But to substantiate my statement - they could recently have come out of really long relationships, they could have been in battle for five years, they could have been tied up in a basement, but now they're out and hunting for love :D

That could be the title of an 80's Power Ballad with ease :D

But the reason I ask is because the plight of these particular ladies has touched my heart and I want to know more :,,,(
