Unfortunately not.

But as mentioned, was only R29 so ordered it and will collect tomorrow morning.

I stay pretty close to there warehouse, which makes it great for moments I need something urgently, can just take a 5 minute drive down.

Free shipping if you use the app.

I think it's something you buy and gets stored away in a drawer and know it's there in the future, it has a much longer shelf life than anyone is likely to have the same PC.
 
So that was quicker than thought... the case has arrived!

So just busy backing up Plex Server Database and then later will swap out the mobo's and re-install everything to server PC. Hopefully tomorrow then or Friday I will be able to build my new PC :)
 
Quick question:

Something I just thought about, if I change the motherboard and re-install Windows 10 on my Plex server, how is it going to know that I already had Windows 10 installed and bypass asking for the Serial Key?

When I upgraded from Windows 7 it did it automatically obviously but I can for the life of me find the key (almost 100% sure it is long gone) :(

Is there a way I can find the key on the system before doing a format and re-install or am I out of luck?

Please let me know before I start the swap over.

When installing Windows 10 you can skip the part where it asks for a serial and once you are in Windows 10 it will automatically activate, read a couple of places online where guys said they changed motherboards and had no issue with the activation.

Ok cool.

I always thought it was in the BIOS but let me try and see what happens.

The more I Google the more I think it's going to be a issue. It would really help if you had the Windows 7 key still. If it doesn't work there is always the other way of activating it...

Yeah I also read a few articles now and seems will be an issue. Some say if it doesn't work then contact Microsoft support which I will do and if they can't help, I might just "find" the key

We shall see...
 
Are we sure the motherboard will fit in the Corsair Carbide Air 240 case I have? The ASRock board is longer than the gigabyte one. I want to make sure before I swap the boards over.

The Gigabyte board will fit, it's mATX, you bought the case before you decided to switch the boards, I guess that makes the decision to switch boards void.

Yeah. I've put the board and everything back together and into the Plex Server again. At least it gave me a chance to clean the dust off CPU cooler fan and apply new paste ;)

Now to build my new PC.

New PC built and busy installing Windows?

If at some point you see a USB 3.0 flash drive you should buy one, Windows 10 on a USB 3.0 drive installing to a SSD is blazing fast.

Well the same goes for win 7 and game installations i would think?

Rainbow Six Siege, installing from dvd was 45 minutes. From HDD it was only a few minutes. USB 3.0 would be somewhere in between?
