Nope, I don't. If we turned that horse into a human and that human was my son, let's say, then even if he had one leg in a plaster caste I'd still hold hope, and give my 100% support, that he can win the 100m race he is due to partake in.

The strange thing is that is precisely the definition I would give to an optimist........

2-0 and 3-0 not impossible. Uruguay will want to win to avoid Argentina. And we will just want to win. And France are so crap....

It's not a matter of support - I'd love it if that happened mate. It's just that I can;t really see Mexico or Uruguay over extending themselves for their final match (which they don't need to win) and I can't see France whimpering out in the last game if there is the slightest chance of going through. Bafana however, are just not good enough, wheras the French are just badly managed.

@pitbull - There was an international game where there was only one team on the pitch. It nearly ended 0-0 however someone ran to ball just before it went out and scored a hasty goal. The team then sat down and waited for the whistle to go because there was no one to kick-off.

That I can fully understand, because he is my/you/our son. Bafana Bafana aint no ones son, a street kid with a criminal record would be best used in this description ;)

...and I'm hoping France will just switch off. They are already going to get hammered. Beating SA 4-0 is not going to salvage any pride for them. They may just have their minds on the plane already! :)

...Or someone could offer them a lot of money!!!! :D

Impossible - it is never going to happen. Bafana Bafana couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery to be honest.

The OP is delusional. We've scored one goal this entire tournament, and now we must score 2 or 3 goals at the least? Not going to happen.

I pity you that you feel that way.... they represent my country and my support for them will never waiver.
 
France are in dumps i think the entire team is fighting or they hate the coach because there is just no way a group of such talented players can play so poorly.

Something happened in that camp a while back and been more news the last week about trouble.

For once i believe in lance's power of positivity :D. A glimmer of hope is what we have.

That is true. However, let's be honest - on any normal game of soccer, the French would be the extremely heavy favourites. It's all about probabilities. Of course the Uruguayans/Mexicans could just 'organise' a draw and these permutations would be useless.

No. I am just a realist Lance ;). If I had to be optimist, a 1-0 victory to Bafana Bafana would be my best bet.

Seems like France has the same problem they have with the Rugby. Either they are insanly good and can beat any team in the world. Or they are so useless a Primary school can beat them. There is no in between.

What is the point of not being positive?

Actually, I get it I think. For a lot of people being negative as hell just means that they cannot be disappointed. Which is a bit silly as they are already disappointed :) I'd rather delay my disappointment until the final whistle.
