What supplements do you take?

Yes I know the suger industry is evil.

Does not mean you can't get your vitamins from food.

In some instances it simply isnt viable to get everything from food in the quantities needed.
Supplementing isnt needed for everything, but it helps with some stuff

A blanketed statement of, just eat better to get everything I dont think is always realistic or covers every scenario

Can you give me an example of a vitamin/mineral you can not get from food/sun in the quantities needed?

I don't get cramps or anything anything like that. Also my last blood test showed that I in a normal healthy range, so I think I'm fine eating them in a moderate amount.
Yes I agree that there’s enough if your aim is to prevent deficiency, but that’s not the same as optimal intake. Your body will prioritize core functions when distributing nutrients while lower priority reactions suffer and you only pick up on those in the long term.

Most people get just enough vitamin C to prevent scurvy for example, but then they wonder why it takes weeks for a little scratch to heal up.

As I said, my blood test for magnesium is in a healthy range.

Yes most people have a poor diet causing vitamin c deficiencies. That doesn't mean you can not get it from food.

I’m with @BBSA . Meat, veggies, and fruit for me. I ain’t paying R200 a month or whatever to piss out vitamins.

I said viable. If you were to try get the required amount for all vitamins from food , you would have to eat pretty damn well and it would cost a lot of money.
Or...you could take a supplement which is convenient in some cases and fills the gap for those of us that dont have tons of time to cook and eat perfectly every single day

I wonder if it could cause copper toxicity though

I eat two or three avos and a block of dark chocolate most days. No idea what concentrations of trace elements I’m taking, but I feel great.

Yeah from reading your posts you eat healthier than most people so I don’t doubt you feel great. I should mention though, feeling great isn’t strictly an indicator of good health, high cortisol for example can feel amazing

No supplements except during Winter and a month before and after - Echina Force and Vitamin D

Define healthy range? Again, medical science aims primarily to prevent illness, optimal health is secondary.

We evolved to get magnesium in our water, and so did our food, but both are now lacking.

//this is all my sales pitch for Evian water, spoiler alert

Doesn't have to be expensive. You can get most of your daily requirements in liver, sardines and eggs. I only eat once a day so it doesn't take that much of my time.

I know most people don't like liver, but you won't even taste it if you grind it with mince meat.
