What was your first car?

Ford Cortina 1.5 l Super with 5 bearing crankshaft. It worked for me and several other drivers for many years.
 
I had a Toyota Corolla 1990. I had it for many years, eventually sold it for R13K

1981 Opel Kadett 1.3. Paid R3000 for it in 1993.

First car you bought or first car you had at your disposal? No, don't get me wrong, was not borne with a silver spoon in my mouth. Just that my dad split from my mom and the fudger at least had the decency not to try and take the car my mom had bought from a small inheritance.

So - first car - Ford Sierra 2.0

First car I purchased (which was after the Ford) - Opel Astra 160ie.

I had a 1981 Toyota Cressida 2.0 GL, bought in 1986 for R2800 with 70000km, and sold in 1992 for R3000 with 260000km. Unbelievably reliable, despite the weird modifications I made to it.

hehe. Look, I did a LOT of research before I bought my first car. IMO, it was the best around for what I could afford back in 1997. Cost me R77,000. Brand new. Traded it in for R40,000. From a dealership, 5 years later.

Got the Opel Coupe Turbo :)
 
A Hillman Vogue which I bought for R400-00 in 1980. Metallic brown and was called "dusty" as there were only dirt roads where we lived and the dust really showed up on the metallic brown.
