What's for lunch?

USN Whey Ultra 100

Doesn't taste as nice as Ensure ... but then again Ensure isn't a protein shake.

So tried making Idlis for the first time.
Used the recipe here: http://wholehealthsource.blogspot.com/2008/11/real-food-ix-idlis.html

Used short grain brown rice and red lentils (also tried brown lentils but they didn't taste good). Fermented them long enough, though I think the rice was a bit too coarse and the lentils can also be blended finer next time. Also baked them in muffin trays :). They came out pretty tasty for something so simple. I added some curry powder to half the batter just prior to baking. Gonna try a moong dhal and rice mix next time.

That look awesome. Is there no flour in it?

None at all - and they were surprisingly bread-like even with the coarse rice I used :). I've got some moong dhal (mung beans) and rice soaking overnight tonight with a few fenugreek seeds. Gonna blend into a fine paste in the morning, add a bit of salt and let it ferment for the day, maybe the next night too depending how well it's risen. Then put into muffin trays and bake for around 25 minutes at 180. I'd like to steam them - but the baking just seems a whole lot easier.
