I've also got cream somewhere in my fridge.

Will that help me?

Dice the onion, brown in butter. Add fish. Add cream for sauciness and reduce. Add a little tomato (perhaps the juice) if you need acidity to balance the cream/curry. Serve over lentils.

Topped with... sauteed tinned curried fish in lentils?

and does it matter what he eats ?

we had this exact discussion last week where people threw down his idea

your food might not be what others like ..his food as well

but let him enjoy what he wants with his limited options

if he was posting the same kark everyday its an issue

I'm not throwing down anything. I don't know why you think I am. He was asking for help, both last week and this week. Last week I tried to help and it all blew up, and this week I don't even know how I can help given the ingredients that he has.

But since I'm here - it's one thing to eat humbly and make do with what you have, and another thing to cook food that is drastically unbalanced and unmatching, and that makes you feel slightly queasy to even think about the combinations. One can be helped to find a way to make ends meet, and goodness knows we've had to do that, but given even very tight constraints, you can still learn how to cook.

Had a massive omelette with an insane amount of cheese. Also had mushrooms and onion.

Used the phone this time, holy crap they look bad.

How many times do you see me having steak for dinner? I feed a family of 5 on a very tight budget. This month we'll have spent about 5k on grocery shopping, but I think we eat very well for all that. It's not about money. I've seen Picard take 2 bags of mismatched cook-in sauce and throw them together into 1 dish, which a) makes me want to vomit, and b) is a horrendously expensive way to eat. Half the time he gets lavish sushis from his local Spar.

And yeah I did hit the ignore button already but just had to see what the old topper had to say.
