Well goddam that means a lot to me

Well goddam, when I look at pics calling something a stew, which is obviously not...

edit:

A stew is a combination of solid food ingredients that have been cooked in liquid and served in the resultant gravy. Ingredients in a stew can include any combination of vegetables and may include meat, especially tougher meats suitable for slow-cooking, such as beef. Poultry, sausages, and seafood are also used.

Stew can be a lot of things.

A stew is a combination of solid food ingredients that have been cooked in liquid and served in the resultant gravy. Ingredients in a stew can include any combination of vegetables (such as carrots, potatoes, onions, beans, peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes) and may include meat, especially tougher meats suitable for slow-cooking, such as beef. Poultry, sausages, and seafood are also used. While water can be used as the stew-cooking liquid, stock is also common. Seasoning and flavourings may also be added. Stews are typically cooked at a relatively low temperature (simmered, not boiled), allowing flavours to mingle.

Beans + sausage + gravy + seasonings + stock = stew.

So where is the resultant gravy in your original pic? And the fresh ingredients were not stewed in any way or form.

But, ignore me. Like I said, I am no cook.

Are you trolling me with this inane debate? The gravy is right there in the pot. In the original pic it has mingled into the bowl.

And the fresh ingredients were not stewed in any way or form.

Yea they were, the beans were originally dry then I pressure cooked them with the sausage in stock and other spices. If I did it on the stove it would have taken probably 3 hours to cook the beans. It's honestly legitimately a stew

Anyone who makes food will know that very often it's tricky to properly classify whatever you've made. Sometimes you just call it the closest thing it looks/feels like and get on with your life. This isn't the school of pedantic cooking.

Super troll.

Just ignore.

Nope. Not trolling at all. Simply did not look like a stew at all to me.

Caramelized onion quiche

I'm going to have burgers this evening (purchased patties and sesame buns and cheese and tomato and gherkins this afternoon) … as soon as I have finished drinking.

When will I have finished drinking …?

Hmmm … difficult question. I don't think I'm able to answer it.

EDIT: Screw you !!!!! … I hate difficult questions.

Cottage Pie, first time I have ever tried it will be tonight...fingers crossed.
