Day 3 final Hellofresh day: Mexican chicken rice with roasted peppers, feta, and almonds. Still delicious, I'm gonna be sad to stop using it

You can make these types of meals yourself for half the cost though; just use as inspiration the free time you had :P

That's pretty much why I wouldn't pay for it. There's nothing here I can't just do myself. I'm pretty handy in the kitchen if I do say so myself

Yup same here.

If one of these companies just came out without utterly crazy margins or using less ultra gourmet ingredients I would happily use them.

Did Youcook for a week or two on a promotion and while it was amazing I don’t need to eat like that every day.

Give me a more reasonable option with Checkers class groceries and throw some margin on top without doubling the price of ingredients and I’m there.

Also used a couple of meal delivery services over the years and they are all great for a month or so and then the rotation of same same menu just becomes a bit stale.

You also don’t always feel like whatever they are doing on the day and just want a piece of toast, but rarely do the meals work for the next day.

Which is the benefit of the cook yourself setups, you get to choose when.

One of the nice things they have in the supermarkets here in NL are these one meal boxes, something like this:

The price is reasonable and it's ideal for a weeknight meal

Checkers started a similar thing, I don’t know if they still do it.

Not quite the same but I&J made these single box meals at one point with a variety of curries and Asian meals and they were truly fantastic but seem to have disappeared.
