Whats up with Digichilli?

Speeds are not an issue for me at the moment.

Torrents going between 30kb/s-50kb/s
Steam updating 17kb/s

Latencies are good.

My biggest problem is when i get home after work i have to change to another account to do gaming,

The games i play

CoD:MW2 (P2P)
Warcraft3 (DotA) (P2P)
Team Fortress 2 (Dedicated Server Local)
Heroes of Newerth (Dedicated Server Int)

so far i have not been able to play any of these games online.
 
i must say, everything is working amazingly for me. besides torrents which are completely dead.. but http downloads are going pretty fast indeed.
.. the other thread may have been closed as its pretty much the end of december.
 
CyBeRmAn, Not sure how you are getting good torrent speeds. Mine are between 2k-10k.

Are you sure you don't have a seeder that is on DC?

Well I still cannot connect to my pop email server through screamer, and they still don't know why, that is why I moved from them. And to be fair, screamer limited everyone to their line speed from the beginning. On DC, you have roughly about 100% of those with a 4mb line, using the spicy or mild account

Good point. The real question is why those people on 4mb lines on a spicy package aren't being limited to 256k. They should only be able to burst higher when their is excess bandwidth

They are on DC's side, but not by telkom (well that was the last info from Dave and them), so when they leave DC, they can burst at full line speed. Now most people on MyBB knows how to play nice till the network is sorted, but I bet you a lot of users, don't subscribe to mybb, or don't really care
 
I have a 4MB line with the mild package.

When I say torrents are going at 30-50kb/s i mean in total not each torrent.

Individual torrents are going anywhere form 0.1kb/s-12kb/s (sometimes they spike to 20kb/s for a few seconds)

At the moment i just lost connection to the PC with the DC connection. It hasnt seem to be up for 10m now

I dont know the details as to how ISP's operate, but that sounds a bit fishy to me. Surely it doesn't matter if DC limit you or Telkom limits you, as long as someone in the loop does, you should be limited? Or is there something I am not understanding?

Plus any respectable organisation to be taken seriously would have had these problems sorted by now. Guys, lets not forget that DC has + - 50 test users; which means that we can only criticize if we take into consideration that they have spent quite a lot of money putting their products to the test. As for the users that paid for the service, they have a right to be mad, but they should not forget that DC is "doing all" that they can to solve the issues they are facing. We all know that all new companies are bound to have problems at first.

So plz guys, lets give them some time to breath, diagnose the matter and give us the service we want. I'm not getting impressive speeds myself, but now I'm putting myself into their shoes. It must really be frustrating...

No wonder Dave disappeared... lol I wud run away too :D

You have me, all I know is what they tell me, but when they originally banned the "abusers", I can tell you one thing, this connection was flying
 
Hmm.... torrents dropped from 35 down to 1.5KBps..... ouch.
My Windows updates did go at a nice speed though.
FTP still at 1KBps
 
How are nzbs going for people on the mild account with a 4mb line and an international news server ( astraweb , newsdemon ect..) ?
 
Well I don't have a 4mb line only 384, but my astraweb is running at full line speed
 
Can anyone else comment about the speeds of nzbs on the mild or spicy account with a 4mb line and an international news server (newsdemon,astraweb ect...) ?
 
I am comparing some people stats and the consensus is like 100GB for R300 =R3/GB where my Axxess(this month) is 500GB for R1 000 =R2/GB :)
