I've been using WhatsApp on my old 3G iPhone withou problems until a few days ago. When I send a message, it only gets the one green checkmark but never the second which I'm assuming means delivered. I was just wandering if anyone else had this problem. Are there any other similar apps that works cross-platform. I only need to be able to chat with my wife on her BlackBerry and it needs to have have push notification.

Cheers.

also been having issues as it is suppose to be push it is always open on my blackberry and messages from my girlfriend never come through until I am typing a message it is weird

I have the same prob on my Moto Defy and Cell C. I dont think it is a problem with our MNO's or phones. I think it is a WhatsApp problem. Push service se gat!

Also having issues with a Nokia E71 on MTN - serious delays for some messages in the past few days.. (Sending to MTN Blackberry and Vodacom Berries)

I just had an idea. I'm going to test it on my wifi adsl at home. Perhaps the mobile networks realised they are losing ton of cash due to less SMSs and they are shaping traffic and putting whatsapp at the bottom of the pile.

I use Whatsapp with a Nokia E71 on MTN with no issues, a Crapberry on Vodacom and a Nokia E52 on Vodacom and no issues here either!

I'd suggest a reboot if you are getting problems...

Vodacom + Whatsapp Issues

Hello. I am using a instant messaging program called Whatsapp. Since late last week Whatsapp hardly sends any messages through. I would have isolated this as my own problem but all my friends on Vodacom have the same problem. Everyone else on CellC and MTN in our group are fine (And its a really big group of people). Does anybody know if theres a problem between the two? And how to resolve it? Thanks

Depends on your internet speed, I have problems when I'm on edge, which is not often.

So if you have a phone without 3g, like an older bb, I would give up on whatsapp.

I have tested the service on my phone and never experinced any issues.

We have tried on EDGE and 3G, same problem. You can hardly send any messages. But if its working fine on Vodacom for you guys then I don't know anymore...

No problems at all for me. I'm on Vodacom but my mate on MTN was having issues. He unistalled whatsapp and reinstalled and no issues now

Mine seems to work great via wifi off home network, but has a problem via Vodacom cell. Shows one green tickmark, but not the second one and recipient does not receive message.

my wife gets the same issue on her iPhone and its been happening for a week or so now ... very frustrating
cause she never gets the msg's I send unless she is actually using whatsapp ... never used to be like that...
wonder what changed

i got the same issue with vodacom comes thru like a hour later all the time and the recipient is a blackberry and i'm on iphone so def a network issue
but if i use it with cell c then i don't have an issue????

mine works most of the time, sometimes i notice that the messages take some time to go through and only when i go back into whatsapp i get replies.
