WhatsApp tips and tricks

Whatsapp is broken. The lag is terrible. Some of my messages take more than a day to get to their destination.
Telegram is instant. Like WA used to be.

BBM was tied to BlackBerry, meaning its use was tethered to that segment. BlackBerry tried to open BBM, but it was too late. The BlackBerry platform was the collapse of BB messenger.

WhatsApp does not have the same challenge. It's an open platform allowing everyone to connect to the IM platform no matter what OS they use.

There is nothing that is limiting WhatsApp's success or its growth. It's free and available cross platform.

Telegram will never hit the numbers WhatsApp hass unless there is a massive shift in the company's operation forcing people to move.

1. not registered in Germany but in UK and USA; office is in Germany
2. Founded by some Russian brothers
3. only client is open source; the server is not

but its all pointless anyway if not enough people are using it
