When do you shift?

If you wanna feel guilt about shifting and rev's... try riding a kawasaki ZXR 250

Redline at around 21 000 rpm

Yeah, and at anything below 17000 there nothing. ;) Same as an FZ 250.
250cc four-stroke inline 4. Weird little engines. :D

You bastard! What year? Photo?

\so jealous.

The highest I got in first was 84km/h @ 14k RPM. Didn't want to rev it higher than that as it was on the red line.

Check the photos on my other username. (Staalbal)

I think it's on here, let me check.... I crashed it but then fixed it up again :o

Depends on the camshaft where your power lies.

Custom cams like 276 degree for example will have more power in the higher revs than lower.

I prefer having power in the lower revs. Torque ftw!
Yeah, I know. Not that it bothers me at all - 1.3 at 6000 RPM does not sound pretty. You said it. :D

Lol @ thread. This is where we'd be standing around the fire with beers while the women would be preparing the salads.

:D

lol SOOOO true, a typical braai conversation...I'm just waiting for one to get a little bit tipsy and ask for proof!!!:D
