When will iBurst drop prices...?

Ok will do, thank you :-) and is it fair to say that we might receive some of that compensation discussed earlier in the form of bandwidth and when will a decion be made around that?

Let me get back to you guys tomorrow or Friday. Want to check one or two things at the office.

You asked for an independant audit and I honoured your request. I assumed Monday (i.e. asap), so my bad. I thought it's important to you as you posted about it in a number of places.

You well know the answers to the other questions, so why do you keep on with this? But I'll humour you.

Yes
Yes, but no for the UIS
Yes
No, yes

There, do you feel better?

So, now in return; Are you going to send auditors, yes or no?

Thanks for that.

So how can you claim that the system is 100% accurate if you have a known issue with the usage/billing?

In answer to your question...
It should haven been obvious since I never stated that anyone would visit iBurst at any time.

No. Feeling better?

(not really off topic, work with me here): Do you guys get your statements and invoices by snail-mail or e-mail?

I am not really involved in the thread. But woudl like to answe you on this. I do get a statement from iBurst via email randomly. By that I mean in the 3 or four years i have been a subscriber I swear I have recieved about 9 statements in total.... totally randomly. maybe one for jan then again for like oct... then you will miss a year then i will get in in march and then i once got a statement from 2007 several months ago.

Anyway...something i thought you should take note of.

Shaun is great btw - give him a raise.... plz :o

I get both and I quite like it that way ;)

Due to the number of accounts I have I do tend to get quite a big heap of paper though - 5-10 pages per month. Some of the invoices with only a single line item on them. I'm pretty sure it could all be compressed down to 1 or 2 pages of useful information.

Contact detail please.

Jannie, if I get overcharged I am going to Instant Message you personally ;) I hope that's acceptable.

My statements are supposed to be by e-mail, haven't had a single one though.

Please PM me your contact detail so that I may assist.

Thanks

I'm a bit concerned here, there an article on the front page of Mybroadband and it states that Iburst dropped their prices by 25%, DID WE MISS SOMETHING?! There is no comms on their website, nothing in this forum..... The link is below.... Jannie and Shaun can you please clarify?!

http://mybroadband.co.za/news/Broadband/9425.html

Interesting, this article is in the "Tech News" section/tab.

First time I've heard anything about it.

iBurst reduced some of its overpriced services by 25%

I like how they use the word "overpriced" to describe their services.

Somehow I am not surprised because internet service providers are in the game for business and to make money, so why give away more bandwidth at the current charges?

Ouch, the truth hurts...:p

Gecko, your childish behavior on this forum isn't entertaining anybody. Seriously dude, you've got issues. To keep attacking Jannie and asking the same questions over and over again surely is a sign of your ignorance. Yes, the current service iBurst is providing isn't exactly up to standard, but I'm sure they're not just sitting there waiting for the problems to pass.

By no means am I defending iBurst here, but what's the point of asking the same questions repeatedly, when Jannie have given you answers to them numerous times?

Why are you attacking me?
I posted questions to Jannie (at his request - the link is there) and re posted them (after he failed to answer most of them) until he answered them in full. (He answered ONE of my questions partially and then attached conditions of his own.. until he finally answered the lot after I re posted them after he kept re posting variations on his one partial response.)
Am attacking Jannie by asking legitimate questions of him?
End of story.

lol guys this post is useless.. we are not going to get a price reduction nor a better product. atleast till after fifa 2010 ... all our ISP's ... sadly including iburst is just milking everyone.

nothing we as users can do anything about it.. we just complaining.. but what does it help..

so ya im done ..

btw Gecko has the right to ask as many questions as he wants

End of story.

except, that wasn't the end of the story, you then felt the need to once again post the questions and answers we've all been given.

I am all for getting answers from telecos - what i don't tolerate very well are people who rant and rave for the sake of ranting and raving, and are not actually interested in constructive dialogue. Please take a more constructive angle to your posts- else you'll give jvz every good reason in the book to be justified in no longer responding on these forums.

Oh I've seen MANY price reductions so far... just not iBurst, Vodacom or MTN

Rumors are Telkom itself should have new deals soon, too.

So is asking questions and posting the answers to them "ranting and raving" ?
(One question was partially answered initially by Jannie with conditions that I did not ask for neither made statements about... Then it was a response/reply issue between myself and Jannie until all the questions eventually got answered. I thanked Jannie for his response once all the questions were answered.)
I am trying to be as constructive as I can here.

EDIT:
PS - You answered those questions according to your interpretation initially.

I am not saying that you were wrong or right.
I merely wanted a response from Jannie on his interpretation.

if i am not mistaken. Iburst is a service right..

well they supplying us with service.. why should they change anything.. they dont care, what can we do.. we are stuck in a contract with them.. personally i think its a bunch of crap but like i said... us the people/clients dont have any say..

Welcome to South Africa
Good bye 1st world.
how the hell can we even host fifa?

Lol Gekco now you're just being a ****ing child. So according to you, one can't even crack a joke here and there without being constructive. God, are you able to see the emote next to his post?
