When will iBurst reduce prices or increase caps?

As I said many times before, the one (stable billing system) needs to be in place before we kick off the next phase. (new products).
 
Jannie you can't use your billing as an excuse forever to withhold price decreases, at least don't change the prices but double the cap for the price (this shouldn't be too hard to implement with your system).

Madhawk, I am glad to say I was refunded 2 days later with the bank charges so I have calm down as I had money over the weekend again.

Jannie, the article on Mybroadband main page today states that the standard price per gig is R49 if I'm not mistaken, you guys are dragging the price drop a little too long now me thinks....

R145 5 gig
R111pm for a 4mbps line.

= R256 Vat inc.. for 5 gig.. and 4mbps to top up = R29 per gig

atm R389 = 3 gig and 1mbps ... with all these problems.. and 200 rand per gig .......... <-------------- this is BS.. ive seen the light and i will cancel my ibust contract when the line is installed at my house

ye, quite a few Costs involved with Telscum

R120 for normal Line rental
R413 for 4mbps ADSL line rental
+ your cap from ISP (which can be Openweb, Telkom, Axxess, Afrihost etc.etc)


4mbit DSL base is R120+R413 = R533 (without any cap prices involved)


But it's true, once the Base is covered the Cap prices are very very cheap.

You can chop/change from ISP to ISP at a drop of a hat. Some months certian ISP's have lekker specials.
R29 per gig , Openweb and Axxess also always has different specials on

It's a pity TELSCUM does not have a 1Mb/sec line rental in line with the pricing. Telkom really sucks and should be broken up like AT&T was.

Of course iBurst is cheaper for light users but anyone using 10GB and above, iBurst is more expensive than ADSL and it's shaped too.

And for those who have their telskum lines stolen on a monthly basis... FAIL:sick:
 
Just looked at the pricing for a Telkom 512Kbps ADSL line. R326+R131=R457 per month just to get a line, then add cap on top of that.

Paying R449 for a 3Gb "Pro" package" with iBurst. Seems cheaper (much) than the Telkom offering...

iBurst is cheap for low usage accounts because of the high Telkom line rental fees. However if you already have a Telkom line you pay R131 less and if you need anything over 1GB extra fast b/w (R199 booster) the attractiveness of iBurst wears off.

For accounts 5GB and above, iBurst is expensive.

Someone I don't think we're going to make the 100 day number. (Which is kinda now, is it not?)

iBOSS is just now beginning to behave, so we'll only be able to load anything new into it in the next while.

Are you coming to the myBroadband conference? ;)
 
Jannie should I prepare for disappointment, am I not going to pay a bit more for better out of cap speeds, no midnight to 6 uncapped. Nothing, Nothing AAAAAAAARGH. Ok rant over, you have till end October or you're FIRED!!! :-)
 
Oh One thing, the whole point of IBOSS is the new interesting stuff right? We aren't going to be stuck with just the 1,3,5,7,10GB type options only right?? I have about 400 extra bucks for you here. Another 64k for 200 and late night uncapped for another 200. Cmon you know you want it!!!

So when is the projected TAT for IBOSS to be up and running properly, can we please get some timescales?! I just feel like we're all being ripped off and keep reading about ISPs dropping prices and increasing caps all around every day, but not Iburst!
 
Bump... our caps up a notch. I've become addicted to cod4 again and in order to feed my addiction I need more internets:rolleyes:
 
also wanna know if our caps can get increased .. started playing Heroes of newerth... and well 55 meg per hour is kinda heavy.. so yeh
 
It worries me that these "New Iburst packages" threads have gone dead, it feels like we have just given up on any change. Shaun, Jannie any idea when we will see some movement?
