I asked for Samsung, that's what they qouted me on.

No stock, ETA is 4 weeks.

I placed an order anyway so will check the quality when they arrive.

Those cells are fake. We have a guy on other forum I am on that bought them last week. They are 900mah.
 
So - group buy Welder and 18650 batch :)
Is there already a thread on buying good 18650 cells somewhere?

(really want to fix some laptop battery etc... only 1 cell bad I reckon)

Used to be good back in the Archimedes days. Lately though it feels like they have all the types of parts but with some components missing in between.

Just be careful with laptop batteries. The BMS might detect if you remove the cell and shut itself off irreversibly.

Not all of them do this, but enough that you need to be careful. I looked into it a few months ago and concluded that it was less hassle just to replace the laptop battery, and scavenge the old battery for good cells to use in other projects.

What other projects? Just mainly looking to justify buying a sunkko myself :)

Ps: opened up a cheap lithium UPS (700zar one from geewiz. Has 2x 12v and 1x 5v output. Surprised it seems to be a custom board!
