Where do you buy your electronic components from?

Really fcking sucks, anyone know where to source these batteries from reliably (as in from the / a manufacturer?)
Mantech has. Not the greatest customer service experience but they are an established company selling the genuine article.

How much is a sunkko?
Depends which one. Shipping costs as much as the item most of the time!
I have no idea about duty either... Not sure there is a category for "spot welders"

I thinking possibly around $150 exc duty

Think my question should be - where do they buy from because @ R 101.90 per cell they are making more than double.

I need 800 if my POC works and people order the hardware.
That is enough that you would probably want to find a distributor. Though I suspect they won't sell to the public, you may have to register as a business.

Can't help, I'm afraid. I've never needed more than 10 or so.

Looking to order (on)-off-(on) and on-on toggle switches. Some momentary pushbuttons too. Any of you guys know where I can find tem really nice and cheap. See them floating around the R25 mark but since I want to start building a simpit for a Huey helo, ****'s gonna get real expensive real fast. Otherwise I should just bite the bullet, but never hurts to ask here right

maybe slightly off topic but can you place an order from communica ,online and set it for collection?
i dont see this option anywhere

edit: i called and they say its not possible...

My biggest communica complaint

If you need to buy electronic parts etc just check out RS Components. They are legend. In South Africa Mantech is awesome. Mantech have contacts for Chinese parts and spares that are awesome for the price. Also, Mantech stuff is quality Chinese. Chinese but good stuff. Can't go wrong.

RS has a fairly extensive range but they are expensive.

If you need a lot of stuff, Digikey will also ship to South Africa. I bought some fairly specialised stuff from them while I was doing my MEng.

I see www.electronics123.co.za mentioned in the thread. Website is broken, probably no longer in business. I think they used to advertise in the old Archimedes periodical, and I last used them about 15 years ago but used to visit their site now and again.

Yebo Electronics seem to be still going, with their hopelessly outdated website. Communica I have never used, their search is awful. Been a while since I used RS.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread but I've used TRX Electronics quite a few times for essentially a "local" version of digikey. Last time I ordered, prices were better than importing directly from digikey
