Which Car to get?

In terms of reliability. Also less chance of someone who would've not been looking after the car.

Again what is the difference between 90 and 120 in that regard?

Everyone selling at 90k is dodging the cambelt service which you will need to pay for. Likely also brakes and possibly suspension.

It's generally just a silly place to draw the line at.

Also how do you quantify less chance of it not having been looked after? Surely if the mileage is higher and it still looks as good or better than one with 90k then it was looked after very well?

Just saying don't shoot down good deals strictly on mileage or year.

+1 some sound advice here.

OP don't be so rigid on your requirements. Allow more flexibility on your criteria.

Doesn't look like any of the panels/doors line up properly, either been knocked good or just bad quality control

My guess is that the car has been in an accident, passenger airbag looks like it has been deployed plus the panels you mention.

Don't be scared to look at deals outside of CPT, get a friend or family member to kick the tyres for you if in a different part of the country. Oddly enough depending on the make and model you will get better deals in some parts of the country than others. My dad for example always gets the best deals on bakkies in DBN and CPT and not in Gauteng, where small car deals seams to be the best in GP.

How many kilometres are you planning on putting on the car in the next five years?
