Axxess on Openserve. For no other reason than they allow EFT payments as I dont allow a debit orders for pre-paid services.

Vodacom fiber with Vuma. It works, deal is gr8 20/20 line for R899 per month. Until you hit their cap 500gb on the uncapped line. Throttled down to 2/2. Sitting on the fence with them, only 2 more months to go before I can switch will definitely be shopping around.

I'm also on Vodacom fibre with Vuma, but I took the 100/100 uncapped deal for R1250 per month. This is month 4 and I've used 6300 Gb so uncapped seems to be good for me

Home-Connect..........I'm on a 10mbps line for R598 month to month contract, I'm the only one using the line at home so 10mbps is enough for my video streaming, downloading and basic web browsing.

Frogfoot and Home-Connect 100/100 for R888.00 very happy with the speedy service that I have received from both.
Would you mind telling me how speedy your service was? I also applied through Home Connect a week ago, only to be told this morning that Frogfoot merged with/acquired Blitz Fiber (They installed our infrastructure). Frogfoot indicated that the merger is in the process so I should not hold my breath - I should not expect my installation of 3 meters of fibre cable and the ONT sooner than a month from now...

Rocketnet, but I don't recommend them. They didn't offer to pay for any of the fees I'm responsible for, eg. Installation, activation. They also charged me R110 to set up my phone. It doesn't take a genius to switch a phone on and select a few options.

I also get random disconnects and my wifi range extender can't reach my back room, and I paid extra for it..

They don't offer to pay for those things. It's stated right up front. If you wanted installation and stuff included you should've picked another provider, like afrihost who does subsidize.

I doubt they charged you R110 to setup your phone if you didn't ask for it? And if you did, well, then they are within their rights.

Disconnects on your wifi I take it? Did you look at your property before placing the order for the wifi extender? Is the antennas set up correctly? Could you not move the extender?

Literally all your complaints is end user complaints. You cannot hold the ISP responsible for any of them. At all. Unless, the fibre disconnects. In which case, get them to fix it.

I know it's state up front, that doesn't change that it is a CON about them, now does it?

They charged me R110 setup fee, I was under the impression it is a setup fee in my home. Installing cables from the fibre point to where I want the phone to be. Only afterwards they told me it is the device setup fee and refuse to refund me.

Yes, I'm not stupid. The distance between my main bedroom and the range extender is roughly 10-15 meters. All that for R900.

Literally all your responses make you look stupid.

@RocketNet-Rep want to jump in here regarding the R110 fee that he was charged?

Yeah, is it 10m-15m line of sight or 10m-15m of brick and concrete, seeing as that has a massive impact. Also, are you using 2.4ghz or 5ghz? What channel are you running? Is there other houses in the area or equipment that is using the same channel. So many possible issues with wifi, but hey, let's blame our ISP. That does sound a little unfair towards them, doesn't it? In addition to that, the only person in this thread calling you stupid is yourself, make of that what you will. I merely stated that your complaints about them are most irrelevant.

Also, it's not a CON about them. It's a decision you have to make when choosing a provider. Either they'll subsidize it, or they'll do a part of it, normally activation only, or they won't do any but you get true month to month flexibility. These are your options, you had the choice, now you list it as a con. Doesn't make sense.

And before I get blamed of being a rep or something similar, I'm not with rocketnet, don'twor for them nor do I use them as my home ISP - I decided that I'm not gonna spend R999 activation when other providers have it free.

Axxess confirmed they will get MTN LTE?
Sorry for the late reply, Yeah Axxess have confirmed they will be switching the LTE to MTN. I have already received my new MTN sim. I've not been able to make it work though. Having said that I haven't put much effort into it.

On a completely unrelated(haha) side note, I have fibre being installed at my house now. Should be live within next month.

cybersmart, because I know a few people there, the headoffice is 5 minutes walk from where my building is and they gave us an amazing deal

I think at the beginning of this month the connection into the building was pushed up to 1gb at 3:1 contention

We tend to get a lot of "drag" on our line speed. Youtube is mostly running on our TV for our child to watch child sensory videos and children songs/videos, but even with a 50mb line I get buffering on youtube. There have been times when we could not watch youtube even after rebooting the router a few times. This is even on very low-quality settings

Which ISP do you use for your fibre of DSL service, and why did you select this ISP?
I AM ASKING MYSELF THE SAME QUESTION..
Reading an article in My Broadband on Axxess LTE MTN / Telkom I checked the prices on Axxess web for MTN Fixed LTE and found that a 60 +60 package would cost you R399.00 / month
Looking at the article posted on My Broadband I noticed that the 60 + 60 Fixed LTE deal is R349.00.
So my thought is when you sign up on the Axxess web page you are actually paying for the R399.00 deal or otherwise the client is not corrected.
So we have two prices from Axxess page and the article with a difference of R50.00 per month for the same amount of data.
Where did we go wrong here or correct me where I lost it..
One is SIM only. The other is with router.
They boast that you get a big discount on the router....but charge you R50 a month extra for the data anyway
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE REASON BUT THIS APPEARS TO BE FALSE ADVERTISING AT THE COST OF THE CLIENTS...

Cell C-Fiber. Best choice for our area, at the time. Must say that we have had no issues in the year we had the service.
Looked around a while ago and decided not to rock the boat. Why mess with something that works.
