Perhaps it's the mysteriousness of nightelfs.

The reason I'm playing a nightelf is because I actually like dark or darklike elves. When I'm playing NWN, I always play a drow.

If I play horde, I will probably play a Bloodelf.

Agreed. I've always fancied Wood elves/Green elves/ Dark Elves/ etc. in movies and stories.

I suppose my choice has more to do with role play than actual effectiveness. Dwarves and gnomes would be more practical rogues.

personally i can't stand elves but on an asthetic level the belf suited my concepts more

only elves i enjoyed where the ones in a d&d campaign we played, they where a bunch of xenocidal primitives

I wish my shammy was a troll. They're freakin cool. Some of the best spell animations, emotes, best dance (i mean holy sht, why choose 'the macarena' when you could be a crazy ass breakdancing whirlwind of AWESOME), best accent BY FAR, and their racials are actually great for pve (berzerking is great for *any* dps class, translates to extra threat for tanks AND makes them some of the best emergency spam healers in the game). I guess the tusks and hunched posture put people off.

Only reason for my choice of Nightelf as race was because I was a rogue (My fav char in Diablo II was the assasin) and I thought shadow meld suited the whole rogue thing.

why is it that whenever i see a nightelf hunter I automatically think 'noob'.

Every dwarf hunter, for example, that I've come across in a BG or arena, has known how to play. The basics like keeping his pet OFF the resto shaman, dropping frost totem, kiting, etc. I see a dwarf hunter, I cry inside, coz I just know I'm going to get hurt real bad.

But last night in EOTS, once AGAIN this noob nelf hunter runs up, sics his cat(lol cat? lrn2scorpid) on me (lol free mana thanks watershield), drops snake trap when i run up to him(poof, rank1 magma totem, snakes all go down the hole) and stands there trying to melee me with his two 1handers instead of wingclip and gtfo.

Seriously, just...what? What is it about Night Elf Hunters that attracts the dumbest examples of WoW mediocity I have ever seen? These days I see one on the battlefield and I'm all like 'Whoo free HK!'.

I would just use my uber healer raid macro I normally use on our one lock after he has pulled aggro from one of the tank and died

I rolled a dwarf warrior cause I wanted to have a red-bearded berserker with a cool scottish accent

Have since rolled human mage, nelf hunter and draenei shaman. I prefer killing horde to actually playing as one.

My first was a nelf cause only nelves/dorfs could be huntards, i dont like dorfs

QFT... hell on my shaman (new main), whenever i see ANY alliance hunter, i die a little inside. The class players really have degraded

When I started it was possible to sheep someone for the same duration as in pve (i.e. 50 seconds!) and just resheep the whole time.
