I was quite surprised by how good The Open actually is, do the Checkers still have it at 25% off?

Nope. Going back to it now it is really good. Not sure how the bottle is so low already but there must be a reason

Never tried it, but keen, read some good and some bad reviews so will be interesting

Bad reviews probably from people that are not into heavily peated whisky. Its not as peaty as a Uigeadail but definitely more peat than Lagavulin 16 (my absolutely favourite). I think its really good.

I really like it - profile pretty close to the notes listed on the bottle - perhaps for me, sweeter than expected.

It is another good Whisky from the Three Ships stable and I like it.
Would I put it in my Top 5 favourite Three Ships? No.

So for now rather keep it it seems

I think it would be close for me, not sure if I prefer the Master's Collection 9yo Fino more than it. Also both PX releases are very occasional for me, where this is more like a beefy 10yo. Sadly only 250mls but at least I got that much !
