Are Johnny Walker bringing Green back in all markets? It was always my favourite in terms of price vs. quality and they stopped selling it in RSA. Here in Australia it is on all the bottlestore shelves - was wondering if they are bringing it back globally or if they only stopped distributing it in South Africa.

It's coming back....

Johnnie Walker is reintroducing its blended malt Scotch whisky, Johnnie Walker Green Label, which is crafted from malt whiskies from distilleries across Scotland that have been matured for a minimum of 15 years. Since 2012 its sales had been restricted, but Johnnie Walker has said it will be bringing the blend back into its range in South Africa, as well as globally

If anyone is thinking about it and still deciding, then GO. If it's half as good as the CT one then it'll be awesome.

That's half my problem, the Durban events aren't as fun sometimes.

There was a great variety on show and lots if interesting talks, especially the guy from Bunnahabhain, and lots of them don't take a voucher if you get talking to them :D

It was like a big bouncing bar experience in CT, but even if it's a serious whisky tasting event in Durbs, it'll still be worth it.

Sweet. Thanks man

I dont know if this needs a new thread or just put it here and add it to this thread.

It would be cool if people post good liquor sales or prices if they know of any.
I will start
At the moment ultra liquor is advertising bells special reserve for R210 and surprisingly takealot has bushmills black bush for R299 I think both those prices are good deals.

Enjoy

Took a gamble on this one. If you like bains then this should appeal to you. I find bains gets a bit sweet this one not so much. Quite enjoying it and good value at R220.

Checkers has exclusivity at the moment. There are a few other in the range as well. I did a bit of reading on the distillery and they have some quality offerings.

I'm keen on the idea, I have no preference whether it should be a new thread or part of the current thread.

That's a good price on the special reserve, has a fair amount of peatness.

Picked these up today. Keeping the Laphroig and Glen grant aside for now, possibly both are discontinued.

Savoy liquors has the Makers Mark at a good price and still has stock on the 'old recipe' Black Bottle
