Who needs a TV licence

I made the mistake of being an upstanding citizen at one stage and paid this nonsense and now they have all of my details to harass me through email and SMS. Really unfair when I have not watched any SABC channels in over two to three years and only listen to the occasional radio channels.

Now I refuse to pay them that license and will possibly go with the suggestion of paying for the R400 inspection and removal of the TV tuner from my Hisense 49" non smart TV.

Being an upstanding citizen gets you nowhere. The inspection fee is also just a racket for them to extort more money. There's nothing in the act stipulating it. If they want to do inspections after being duly notified they have to do so at their own cost.
