Why do people hate Blackberry Users?

Firstly my Torch costs just about half of a new Iphone, and does all the push stuff you talk about because it wants to, not because you want it too. Secondly once I paid my R349 that is it. I went over at the beginning of the month to BB and I had 105.90 MB data left on my bundle. Guess what, it is still on 105.90 and I have been flying data since I have had no restrictions.

Hang on....so you want to tell me that I can do internet tethering with a BB?

Why haven't I thought of this? So I can use it as a modem with my desktop/laptop via wifi and download as much as I like? Now it does start to look good....unlimited downloads.....I'm SO there!!

OMFG War of the Fusking fanboys.....

ja right, like Vodacom would let you do that....

BB 8520 with free internet going for around R180 per month. That makes sense to a lot of verry savvy people. No arguments needed.

Then I don't understand this unlimited downloads that all BB acquired users are bragging about.

you can only do it on the BB which probably means the BB's monthly average monthly bandwidth usage only comes to about a Gb.

Always-on push emailing on multiple accounts requires free internet (BIS) or data costs will be very high. This is where BB shines. All my data needs are met on the device without nasty bill surprises, and no checking and loading of data bundles. Seems one must experiences this to appreciate it.

Ah....ONLY ON THE DEVICE. Now it all makes sense....and on that small screen? No thanks.

Well, for someone who needs to be reachable by email 24/7 it's quite a benefit not to ever have a worry about data costs. However that's the device's only benefit as far as I'm concerned and if it's not something you explicitly need you're doing yourself a disservice by getting a BB.

@ BeVonk. You hit the nail on the head. I had to be dragged to BB, but once you experience it...

Why would BlackBerry continue to sell so well if it is - as some would want us to believe - a stupid device with no winning features? In a very competitive industry RIM would have been dead long ago if it sold devices with no attractive features.
