Why do people hate Blackberry Users?

iPhoney is usless unless you get access to all the features that they have in America also its double the price of an average BB.
There is a worldwide shortage bacause people keep having to return them, despite this people still purchase a phone that they know has issues.... serious issues.
Android does seem cool, however i'd like to see Android on a really good phone. Samsung is not a good phone.

Not sure what you mean by not having all the features the iPhone has in America over here... The phone is the same wherever you go. Perhaps you're referring to some apps that are country specific... No, wait, you're just Apple bashing.
I suppose, in your view, the "worldwide shortage" has nothing at all to do with the fact that Apple moved 14.1 million units in their last quarter (July '10 to September '10 and up from 7.3 million during the same period last year) but more to do with the thousands of people who had reception problems when the phone was launched, decided to return their phones and got a free cover from Apple for their troubles...
PS. If you want a BB like messaging service on your iPhone, get WhatsApp from the iTunes store and you're done.

BlackBerry users are hated because they are smarter, more productive, and have more money (from data bill savings) to buy other cool stuff.

Yesterday's Mxit users are smarter? Than what, a loaf of bread?

By "other 'cool' stuff", you mean Crocs of course. :p:D

Okay, I have a blackberry bold and I have a SGS. When I came over, I thought my bold was still better than the stock SGS, but with the android phone you can do so much more. Now that I am used to playing with my android, I would probably keep it is my primary phone, even though my chellphone bill is about R389 more to keep my blackberry habits alive. Blackberry's OS really isn't that bad, it is just that the people on this forum has such a high standard because they know more about technology than the average user. So on this forum I would think that there is a android bias, because engineers and it people want to fiddle around with there stuff. But I think that for the average user, the BB would probably be the superior product, with the free internet, push email, push facebook etc. When I came over to android I was a bit displeased about how these things worked, and I have to remember to open my email and gchat and facebook applications to receive my stuff.

haha does it make you feel good thinking people envy you?

Well people say they "are glad they have there blackberry" but in most cases (except for the torch and 9700 owners) its simply a matter of they cant afford an iphone or galaxy/htc etc.

Haters gonna hate..

Just has the iphone is "the must have" phone now, that title used to belong to blackberrys at one time nearly everybody wanted to get a BB

seriously who would want a crippled phone that cant multitask...ok im listening to music and feel like I need to text my gf and whack!ive to quit itunes....feel like I have to chat with my buddies then everything has to stop while I chat...seriously give me an Android or BB anytime

Blackberry users have their phonez ping, pong & pang all day long in the office which is irritating. Also the ex has a phone with a phucking blinkling light! WTF .. as if being reachable 24/7 and being dinged every time there's a message isn't enough this thing constantly reminds you from the corner of your eye .. Yoohoo!! ... I'm still here .. you haven't touched me in about 2 minutes .. do you wanna touch me again .. I'm sure you do .. oh come-on, touch me .. wait wait there's a message coming through .. beep .. wait also gotta flash that led thingy faster now .. another beep .. sure you don't wanna rub my little knobbie thingy again .. ok, last chance .. etc. Attention seeking phones like a pregnant cat rubbing itself against your legs. Ugh.

hehe ... I actually paid extra for an app that I could do that with ;)

I can now CHOOSE my colour flashing LED for whatever event!

You know they implemented multi tasking in the iPhone a while ago, right?

Anyway, it's easy, and understandable, to be envious of blackberry users with the unlimited browsing for R59 that they enjoy. ;)

Someone told me 'iphone is the phone everyone wants ; BB is DEAD'

Thing is it's taken almost 4 years iPhone sales to overtake BB.
BB still have the market share over iPhone in the US, Germany, Ukraine, UK, the world ...

Hardly dead!

And the main thing I see is ALL my friends have one, just got one, or getting within the next few months. The ratio seems 1 : 10 right now.

Oh - that's not really *that* long ago ;)

That's just over 4 months and the iPhone has been out for almost 4 years?

I was under the impression that apps had to be developed to support multitasking, rather than all apps multitasking by default like on the BB.

I must be honest and state that I don't like the way multitasking works on the iPhone. I actually hate it. Why not allow a user to close an app with a long press on the home button? The apps now gather into a meeting in the background and have a battery bash party ... so the user must get into the habbit of double clicking and closing each app individually on a regular basis. It just doesnt work well. Unless I don't know about a method to close all open apps all at once. I'll appraciate a tip on how to do this if such a method exists.

i never really got all the hype about push mail and i.m. on bb.
haven't these things been around for ages?
so you save yourself a few bucks with bis...
i guess that's nice, but bis doesn't cover tethering, so it's of limited use to me.
i guess i'm really just not the target market for these devices - you have to either have been in a corporate with an archaic email solution, never have used im on a pc before, or see your handset as your primary technology platform.

In this thread it was stated that BB users are hated because they always talk about their BB's and want to convert others to it. In my own experience - and it happens every day - it is others around a table that ask me about my BB as they are looking at getting one as part of their next upgrade. I'm tired of explaining the whole BIS/BES and BBM thing to people.
