Why do people hate Blackberry Users?

I just think they are slightly archaic and underpowered. All they have going for them is supposed free Internet that isn't free to begin with. Android and iPhone still beats it IMHO.

I have resisted the temptation and have gone retro... Nokia 1280 FTW.

Leave the work at work.

/also got a new number so that I get even fewer calls!!!

hmm thanks to the BB users on this thread i see why alot of people hate BB users...

I've used BB before a few times and actually like them. Never had an issue with the user.

List of reason's why people hate BB users:

1) The constant fb updates about how they like, OMG got a BB and like, here's my PIN
2) Most of them got the phone because all their friends have one, which smacks of groupthink (that goes for you iPhone users as well there in the back)
3) They act like a qwerty keyboard on a phone is something revolutionary
4) Bang on about how "advanced" BBs are even though a myriad of other smartphones pwn them *nods again to the iPhone users there in the back*

My buddy's hate it because I can stream music for free and they can't. LMAO

Hmmm, I've tried using one, it's crap. Also, I don't understand the concept of free messaging, internet and whatever else it does... if you paying R60 a month of it? With R60 a month, you can have quite a few sms'.

To each his own. I find my BB a very useful business tool and the messaging is absolutely fantastic. Typing is pure bliss. Having said that, I'm sure there are other phones that are also great. I just happen to love by Bold... :)

How? Isn't streaming outside BIS?

I am fortunate! Have the best of both worlds! Soon to have the beast (Desire HD) and I have a BB. I admit that I use my BB a lot more. Simply because I used to spend a fortune every month on data bundles and now I don't have to.

I hated the BB too, but now I love it. I am positive I'll love my Android powered, super speedy Desire HD a ton, but probably will still use the Internet, etc on the BB - simply because it is free!!

OMG... they one and they same...

What type of backpacks do you guys carry for the HTC/Galaxy/iPhones - or are money belts more practical in a work setting? Does it have special pockets for spare batteries?

:-)

Not sure how much of browsing and mailing you do with whatever phone you use. Fortunately I also have the iPhone 4 and in a month I have spent almost R130 on data alone for browsing and emails where as on my BB for 60 bucks I know for a fact I used up a lot more than R130 worth of data. So you do the maths. :p I don't ever use SMS, BBM does that for me because 80% of my contacts have BB's. Hope this clears your mind up a little why we BB owners love our mobiles. ;)

People hate BBs users bcoz:

1)They have BIS where you surf till you drop
2)They get push email/facebook/contacts/etc for R60 (try that on an 'ordinary' phone and see how ur bill rises and your battery drops
3)You get a fab keyboard which 'ordinary' phones pretend they don't like (except the E71/E63 copycats)
4)You belong to an exclusive club - entry level BBs are not comparable to pizza in terms of price like some Nokia phones we know kikikiki

Thats just so dumb, who in their right mind would use such a service?

My GF is using a BB, and she loves it. We mostly mail each other, which is much cheaper than sms. I access my mails from my Nokia 5800 (three mailboxes: two that I check manually and one that is an Exchange mailbox). I've setup her uni mail account on her BB - wasn't easier or more difficult to do than on the 5800.

I haven't even searched for a push mail app for my 5800 - I'm one of those people who are terribly difficult to reach because I keep the phone on silent. On purpose.

Basically - I love the 5800 for being only touch screen (no keyboard). She loves the BB for its full keyboard. I don't want push mail, she can't live without it.

The only part where the BB service is one ahead which I feel I'm losing out one, is the 'free internet'. I'd only use the free internet for youtube, so it's not that big a loss, but I would have liked it on my 5800 as well. As is I have to wait for a wifi zone.

So, each to his own!
