Why do people hate Blackberry Users?

The big disadvantage of BB's is the size. You don't get that physical work-out from lugging around your super 6" mini mobile computing device.
An advantage though is that people are less inclined to think you are very happy to see them when you put your BB in your trouser pocket.

1) On my uncapped ADSL I can surf til I drop with a 32" screen and QWERTY keyboard and laser mouse.
2) Ditto
3) If I wanted a massive interface I'd lug my laptop around with me.
4) I belong to an exclusive club called "the internet". It allows me to speak to anyone anywhere on any medium.
I guess I should've been part of the mxit degeneration to grasp the concept of sitting on your phone all day.

Ok I feel the need to correct you on some of those points. 1 and 3 are correct.
2) Most of them got the phone because all their friends have one, which smacks of groupthink (that goes for you iPhone users as well there in the back)
Sure most iphone users are pulled in via groupthink and apple worship, but this doesnt make up all users.
4) Bang on about how "advanced" BBs are even though a myriad of other smartphones pwn them *nods again to the iPhone users there in the back*
Everyone knows there is nothing advanced about a blackberry, really there isnt. The iphone bit I have a problem with. I own an android and an iphone and I have to say that the iphone is substantially faster than the android despite the android having a 800mhz proc and the iphone having a 600mhz.
Strangely I find myself using the iphone more often because even applications that are found on both phones are just better written on the iphone.
Now dont get me wrong, I have used a blackberry for a day or two and hated everything about it.

I never actually used a Blackberry before.. then last night I had some time to play around on one. I have to say the operating system is AWFUL. It's just reams of text settings and nondescript icons. Even the keyboard left something to be desired for me. I don't have an issue with BB users but I would never want one of those phones.
I haven't charged my HTC Desire in the last 36 hours and I've got an estimated 8 hours battery life remaining... (Wi-fi is on permanently)
I don't think they are bad phones, i've used quite a few and I thought the UI was terrible and clunky.
I also don't like the cliqueness of it, people just getting them because everyone else has one.

You do know that when its plugged into a USB that its charging, right? Sorry for the question but I just had to ask, you never know nowadays.

Lol, then you not using your phone. People i work with need to charge their blackberries every day.

You do know that when its plugged into a USB that its charging, right? Sorry for the question but I just had to ask, you never know nowadays.
It's not plugged into anything
Granted it hasn't been used all that much in the last 2 days just a couple of calls, maybe an hour or two of IM'ing (gtalk and whatsapp) and some facebook. But still I get way way more than 6 hours out of a single charge.

Thats the only real reason to hate BB people, and as a BB addict I can say that its definately a valid reason. Talking on your phone while driving is dangerous, sms while driving is even worse... but BBMing while driving is literally suicide. I don't know a single BBM user that has not BBM'ed while driving.
